Confused at the reviews saying that this game expands on the mechanics and combat of Spider-Man. Playing Miles felt slower and clunkier, and his skills and gadget trees are smaller. Sure, it could be a reflection of his lack of experience as Spider-Man than Peter, and he has his fancy electricity fueled venom powers, but for a game it wasn't that fun. I also didn't care for some of the cheesier, cringier characters and writing - thankfully we can mute the podcast I'd say if you really want to play as Miles Morales, get the game. But if you want a good Spider-Man game just get the first one. PS - The Spider-Verse suit and gimmicks were sick though

I beat the ever living hell out of this game on ps4 already, well. The OG version that is, so I don't know if it's the fact this the port of the PS5 version, remaster, pc redo, or whatever it is, but jesus christ. Just to say, I have 16 gigs of ram, 8 VRAM since i have the 4060 rtx still, and a super good processor, and this game still runs like dog shit on medium settings. Actually had to restart my save because some weird bugs happened with the damn training mission and unlike the first time, reloading didn't bring it back. Don't tab out, it'll brick your game most of the time, infact, anything might freeze. It won't crash, oh don't worry I haven't crashed in 13 hours, instead I just freeze. I'm guessing adding the layers of snow to all the ground, trees, etc, and snow falling added some issues for this version maybe? Except I've even had my audio crap out 3 times. Like completely. Hell, I can't even hear the damn dialogue because everyone's audio keeps bugging out completely, or it'...
This was an okay game. I loved it but it was laggy at times and the map just doesn't load in sometimes. But i did like this game. Bought it 3 years ago and came back to it a few days ago to finish all achivments. It was hard but fun. I was even able to beat the game without dying in the NEW GAME +. I will be blunt tho, i will maybe not return back to this game because i beat it a few times. I got every trophy so i have no real reason to come back. But if your a new player, give this game a spin. It is not perfect but it's fun.
I played it for a bit, but to be honest... it's really boring. It's trying to play like the Arkham games, but it ultimately just feels like a rhythm game with no real freedom. Every fight feels the same, with the exception of some enemies that can 1-hit kill you thrown into the mix. While swinging around feels great, combat feels so scripted and stilted... I could stand the first game for the sake of it being a long time since we had a good Spider-Man game, but this feels like half baked DLC.
After the amazing experience I had with Peter Parker in the first game, the sequel Miles Morales continued at the same great quality. What I loved the most in this game were Miles’ unique powers. The electric “Venom” abilities and invisibility made the gameplay feel completely different. It felt like a fresh layer added on top of the atmosphere of the main game. Performance was great again, no problems with optimization at all. Seeing New York in winter was also a beautiful touch. The story was very engaging and powerful, but sadly a bit short. Just when I was having the most fun, it felt like it ended too quickly. It was disappointing that such a great game didn’t last longer, I really wished it was longer. But still, it was a very fun and enjoyable experience overall.
I spent 45 hours on Spider-Man Remastered, taking my time, completing everything, and enjoying every moment of the journey. It was an incredible experience from start to finish. I approached Miles Morales the same way, but honestly, it felt like only a fraction of what Remastered offered, more like a DLC than a full game. It’s definitely not worth $50 at full price. If you’re interested, wait for a sale to avoid disappointment.
For this money, you’ll get about 10 hours of dull gameplay (I wasn’t rushing, the game was 78% completed in 8 hours) – that’s just ridiculous for such a price. If you want to play the next part of the series, you’d be better off watching a Let’s Play on YouTube. If you just want to swing around on webs – buying the first part of the series won’t make you lose anything; for a small extra cost you’ll get four times more content (not even counting the DLC). I deeply regret the money spent. I even took a few days off work to immerse myself in the game and finished it in a single day. Huge disappointment.
"My name is Miles Morales. I was bitten by a radioactive spider. And for like a few weeks, I've been the one and only Spider-Man. I think you know the rest."
Is there a way to reset game time on steam? It says I've played for 9 hours, but my laptop kept the running even after I closed it. I'm so mad about this. Iwant to show I could beat a game in under 8 hours.
If you love web-swinging, new york city, and spider-man, THIS game MIGHT be for you. When it's on sale! The story, missions and activities really isnt that great, but overall: fun times webbing around new york as spider-man!
