This game has many many things I love about it, but I cannot recommend it because the combat and combat movement is beyond wonky, it's to the point of being unbearable. I'm not exaggerating here, and it will likely infuriate you as well. There are some interface issues and clarity that need to be ironed out as well. The tutorial is reasonable, but lacking in some areas. For example you can build an axe in 2 seconds after starting, but unless you watch a video you won't know this. AI/NPC management is good, but I feel the windows need more clarity, same with the crafting interface. The stamina system is BRUTAL. Expect to be walking everywhere because you lose stamina in 4 seconds if you run. There are no mounts in the game, which I think at this state in development it should absolutely have. Movement is disabled when on the map, which is annoying. Why not allow running while the map is open? Why do I have to click on 45 different tiny dots on a building to build it? If I have the mat...

I love this game, I've played it for many hours and still have yet to complete the game because I'm sick in the head and love the grind. How to play this game successfully: 1. Stamina makes life easier: There are three food slots, each food item with a health/stamina modifier. Make sure you eat foods that add some health and more stamina early on. This will make your life far easier. Cooked foods are better than raw, smoked foods are better than campfire cooked, and eventually complex dishes are the best as you progress. 2. Add fast travel posts everywhere. This makes the game MUCH better to navigate, obviously. Start out on a journey down an unknown road with 2 logs, 2 stones and 5 sticks every time so you have at hand the crafting materials necessary to put down a fast travel post. 3. Do not hire beggars. They suck and can never be good. Complete a few quests in each town, acquire friend status, then hire as many "white shirts" as possible. These are the best early g...
It crashes like no tomorrow, I've just about had enough of it now. It was cool for a bit, until they get this shit ironed out and it stops crashing like mad, I'm not picking it back up. Waste of the cash I spend to play a pre-release game.
This games base building is fun and building your "kingdom" is fine, but the combat is so dog that nothing else matters. If an enemy has a shield they just block arrows with out using the shield arrows can only hit the head and with the slowness of combat and the speed at which you run just makes the bow feel like a waste of time. The game wants you to just run around with a full group at all times to negate how bad the combat is but that is just a band-aid to the overall problem of the combat lacking in ways of breaking guard or creating space or doing anything other than just ganging up with as many people as possible to not interact with the combat as much as possible. The core of the game(i.e base building and gaining a following) is fun but until the combat gets a real overhaul this game is just not worth it.
Would be nice if it actually launched anymore, hasn't worked since around June 2025, now it just BSODs. Dozens of games run fine and are way more demanding, this one won't even load an intro screen. Have tried everything from underclocking to scrubbing drivers. Nothing works. Was fun while it lasted I guess. /uninstall
I really wanna like this game, the concept is great But it is just SOOO repetitive, complete extremely simple quests, run around, spend a lot of time liberating one village, proceed to next. With each new sim you hire, the next`s one price goes up So yes, technically you could grid and get a massive village, but it would take 50+ hours to feel some satisfaction AI is OK But you are so limited in stuff you could do, plus progress takes too long, so grind again
This is one of my first reviews of a game and I have been gaming for a long long time. I strongly recommend this game if you like games such as Valheim, Medieval Dynasty, ect. This game is some awesome combination of these types of games where you build yourself and your village/villagers up to fight against a tyrannical ruler and his Brigands by liberating other villages, all the while constantly fighting Bandits. The pure thought put into this game is truly amazing and the fact that it is still in early access is unbelievable. I have not been this addicted to a game in a long time. I have put in over 150 hours into the game and still have not completed it, not that I can't but because I want to see my village, and allied villages, thrive as well as raise a mighty army to make the fights ahead easier and more rewarding. You cannot survive without the survival of your village and people. To summarize this game; you have beautiful landscapes, village building, character and NPC leveli...
Need Dedicated Servers so me and my friends in multi-time zones can play the same game.
This game struggles to deliver a satisfying experience. The world and systems feel rough and unfinished, with mechanics that aren’t well defined or balanced. Progression is slow and unexciting, and the combat lacks the sharpness you’d expect from a good game, it often feels clunky rather than strategic.
1 piece buildings with no interiors, can't decorate the 3 buildings that do have interiors, buildings are basically over sized work benches like 12 faces 5 hairstyles between both genders. Can't sneak can't swim. All armors clip like crazy no unique characters, no interesting quest. Only one biome. Singular piece building makes most places impossible to build or at the very least a glitchy mess. Personally don't really understand the concept of a city building game with no customization. They have decorations but cant be placed within 10 feet of a building which makes no sense. Nothing it actually does well overall.
