It's not bad but it's not exactly good. For a first effort, solo dev, I would even say this is pretty good. If it cost $5 buck, I would give it a thumbs up, easy peasy. Since it costs $18.49, I am left thinking, the game is fairly clunky and a bit on the ugly side for that price. Honestly, wait for a sale to check it out. https://youtu.be/M6-n8PqrZ_s

VINCENT'S EPIC ADVENTURE AWAITS YOU!
In Map Of Materials, you'll find him stranded on a mysterious island where he uses all his skills and knowledge to escape and return to his old life to return home. Will he make it out alive?

Brace yourself as you step into the dark ruins, where mysterious and dangerous creatures lurk. It seems like everything here has a grudge against Vincent and wants him dead, so be on high alert. While exploring the island, you might stumble upon some pretty awesome things that could come in handy.

Each area of the island you discover will offer new findings and resources as you and Vincent are faced with new challenges to solve. How will you find shelter in the icy winter climate? Will you manage to escape the castle ruins or the sand labyrinth?

Feels early access, but isn't early access. No remapping of controls. Can't set resolution higher than 1920x1080. Either of those alone on a non-early-access title would have been enough for me to uninstall the game and never bother with it again, but with both together, I'm requesting a refund.
Rain on 30 did a really nice job with the game. It's a very unique game that brings memories of past games that touched a lot of hearts. I highly recommend playing this game, it is definitely something.
Nice little game, saw it on Joorgenson's Channel. For 4-6h of playtime it's probably worth your time but depending on your wallet maybe not your money. Atmosphere and Soundtrack are great, gameplay and story simplistic. Overall, I enjoyed it.
This game is for players who enjoy some old school rpg classics where you gather some stuff and upgrade your little sword and armor while hunting for some monsters and exploring a world with different puzzles. You have to keep in mind that it's made by a solo dev and that there are no NPCs. You have different monsters, some you can beat some you can't. You have to find other ways around. I had plenty of fun playing this little game, but no big expections upfront. Didn't like the ice area so much but otherwise it was very interesting to explore and kept me entertained. The survival elements are balanced fairly. In the end game you feel rewarded when collecting everything and exploring :)
Map Of Materials It's a unique experience that I yearn for in more modern Fantasy RPGs A good adventure & exploring the mysterious with battles, crafting, and some puzzle solving thrown in. What I really appreciated was that the puzzles were organic to the experience enjoyed playing this old-school type RPG I look forward to what Rain on 30 produces in the future
Okay I really like this game, the old school feel to it. You need to pay attention, to where you are, and notice the landmarks, makes me want to explore more. The devs did a good job on the clues they leave you. When I found the first shack, that's when this game really grabbed me. I am hoping that when I do cross that gorge, that is when they could have a continuation, maybe in a DLC, or MoM2. Even though I know where things are I played through it twice. BTW I found around 10 crates, but I believe there are more than that.
i love this game. i am a huge gothic fan and i really hope this game gets more content. please support this creator, i really want to see what is on the other side at the lake xD
So far so good, been keeping me actively interested unlike most games,i guess simple rpg elements are key and i'm attracted to lesser then shiny graphics
Reminds me a bit of Gothic. I liked it. XD
