I enjoyed my time in Moominvalley. It's a calm and relaxing experience. That said, the gameplay falls short. I was hoping it would open up and allow for more exploration, but it never does. The puzzles are barely puzzles, and the story, even with side quests, is very short. Worth considering on sale.
Such a beautiful little game. Extremely charming writing that appeals to adults as well as children, combined with an art style that is just absolutely gorgeous and a simple yet effective soundtrack. I enjoyed the message a lot as well. A must play for Moomin fans, and a great game for kids with simple puzzles and wonderful characters to meet along the way. I was surprised how varied it was despite the simple mechanics and it was the perfect cosy game to explore over a few evenings. My wife and I are looking forward to the sequel very much.
I watched the TV show as a child and as a mother, I have read all the books to my children so the world of Moominvalley is very special to me. The game captures the world very well and everyone is here, Toffle included. This is such a relaxing game and the beautiful music throughout makes it a very cosy, peaceful experience. There is no combat, just some light puzzle elements and a bit of stealth required in a few places. Overall, a very charming game which is sure to enchant any Moomin fan.
100% reccomend if you like slower but cute games, it gave me such a nostalgic and fun experience (altough jumping was a bit tricky sometimes). 10/10 <3
The best thing this game has going for it is a whimsical art style. The moral message it tries to get across is overly simplified, and the ending is rather pointless. And it's honestly too short to be enjoyable.

BIT OF STORY SPOILERS It's a cute little game meant for children, but I grew up with Mummitrollet so this was a nice little story. It's not very difficult but it's also not meant to be. The story sees Snufkin (Snusmumrikken) trying to save his friend Moomin (Mummitrollet) after the latter gets into trouble for vandalism in an act to make the park ranger and his employees understand they can't change Moominland because it's already perfect. People have pointed out it's kind of like anarchy and I suppose it is but sometimes it's necessary. You get to meet pretty much every character from the novels/animation series so that's super nice.
Nice, easy, cosy game, perfect for Moomin lovers. It held my attention, the artwork was cute, loved it for the nostalgia.
Whenever I play a game I always feel like I need to 100% it, getting a long YouTube video and grind through it. But this game? I did not feel the need to do so, I am okay with not having all the achievements, I enjoyed the music, I played at my pace, I forgot that this is the entire point of gaming, to sit back and relax and I lost it, but this game gave me the feeling I have been searching for.
