I can easily recommend this just on the fact it is a ghost hunting game with proper jumpscares and some interesting mechanics that phasmo doesn't have. It has been updated a lot since I last played it and I very much look forward to checking it out again with friends even though a couple of them quit after they got jumped by the "red room". If you like phasmo of demonologist this is definitely worth checking out.

Ghost Exile is a horror movie where ghosts fuck you without vaseline! In short, this is not just a horror, this is a fucking test of endurance. Here the ghost is not some cardboard screamer, like in cheap indies, but a real bitch who will track you down, humiliate you and break you morally. 1.Atmosphere and graphics You walk into the house and that's it, fucking hell! Silence, lights flickering, doors creaking. Every rustle sounds so loud that your balls sink into your stomach. In Ghost Exile, it's scary to just stand still. There's no background music, no clues, just your ears, eyes, and the constant feeling that someone is about to fuck you from behind. The maps are gorgeously made: abandoned apartments, industrial zones, cemeteries. It's so dark that the flashlight only makes you more tense. This is definitely one of my favorite ghost-hunting games. Other ghost games become a bit formulaic after a while, but Ghost Exile has quite a few features that make the hunt more interesting. The developers also update the game regularly, which I really appreciate. For example, the recent update overhauled the way you determine the ghost name and discover its favorite item, and they’ve added new locations as well. It looks great, and the gameplay feels smooth and responsive. All in all, I really recommend it.

Honestly gets better with each update starting from a kind of janky Phasmo clone to what is now a really solid ghost hunting game with the added bonus of the exorcism ritual and a whole bunch of additional modifiers and add-ons to make the hunts really challenging!
