I honestly want to like this game. The music is great, the styling is great, but whoever designed the jumps and the idea of pitch/yaw/roll midair in an already complicated racer, please take off your art school beret, burn it, and learn to make mechanics that aren't absolute hell for people who don't want to memorize the map.

I really want to understand the thought process behind the career mode. It takes forever, the third tier has something stupid like nearly 600 starts to grab, that's around 160-180 events. But the issue is, each event ranges from 3-8 minutes. God forbid you have to do a qualification match and have to do the same track twice. The game modes and variety are awful, if it's all gonna just be racing they should have seriously reworked the pacing, otherwise you're playing the same track like 8 damn times. The pacing is awful in the career mode, I haven't played redout 1 in a while but I remember it having much better game mode variety, and it actually introduced new tracks.
Nintendo won't make a new F-Zero game, so 34BigThings had to instead. It's not quite as good as F-Zero was, but it's the closest thing we've got. 8/10
I am a racing game connoisseur and aside from F-Zero GX this is the best futuristic racing game I have ever played. Do yourself a favor and by this if you are a fan of the genre.
Adderall Gaming™ Definitely can recommend, this is the Dark Souls of racing - easy to pick up, ridiculously hard to master, fun regardless. Good sequel to the original Redout. And it has multiplayer!
Fun future racer
im redding out, too
Definitely one of the coolest racing games you can buy. This and BallisticNG are kind of the gold standard for modern AG racers imo. Extremely fun to play, and the sense of speed is immense. Also very challenging, it's a hard game to master for sure. Definitely gives that "eye of the needle" feeling. There's also a TON of campaign content to play through, almost too much. You could be busy with this game for a long time, especially if you're a completionist. The DLCs are good, the tracks are well-designed, the environments are cool, the music is good, and the liveries/paintjob/chassis parts are cool. I think the winter pack is the better of the two, as I like the environment, track layouts, and music better, but the summer pack is also good. Some say they're slightly overpriced for what you get. YMMV. I personally recommend getting the Ultimate or Deluxe Edition bundle - depending on whether you want the soundtrack or not - when it goes on sale, which is what I did. Useful informatio...
Fun and challenging
I was a fan of Wipeout back in the day and this adds pitch and rotation control with this sort of "push your luck" boosting that really gets that white knuckle speed feeling I remember. Sound design is amazing and the music reacts to the race which is very cool. Plays very well on the steam deck as well if you have one.
