You know that feeling when you say “just one more game” and then realize you’ve got to be up for work in a few hours? Yeah… that’s Vampire Survivors. It’s got this ridiculously addictive loop where all you’re doing is moving and picking upgrades… but somehow your brain’s in overdrive, engineering the perfect doomsday build. The game fires your weapons for you, so you can focus on weaving through swarms, grabbing clutch upgrades, and watching your power spiral out of control in the best way. Endless unlocks—new characters, weapons, stages—constantly tempting you with “just a little more power”, win or lose. And the best part? No shady microtransactions. No battle pass. Just pure “pay a few bucks and go nuts” fun. Retro vibes. Banger soundtrack. Hidden stuff tucked away in every corner. Vampire Survivors is dangerously addictive, stupidly cheap, and way more strategic than it looks. Buy it. Play it. Lose track of time. Thank me later.

Really fun and great game to play with friends or solo even all the dlc's are having plenty of content and new characters to play with. Now they added online mode in beta which made it even more better to roam around the map freely. Best thing ever, must play!!!
This game is crack, dlc is crack, all is crack, this game makes the bad times not so bad
"i'm running 8-hour shifts on VS don't judge me" - me, probably Vampire Survivors is not a new game, nor is it an unpopular game - with a truckload of content that I've barely even begun to tickle the pickle of the surface of, Poncle created a game that is massively addictive and hits the dopamine receptacle like a Thursday night alone with your left hand. What is, essentially, Castlevania but a survival game with over 50 characters to choose from and an outstanding number of cultural references and some surprisingly interesting lore, Vampire Survivors runs on a very simple premise: Survive for a period of time, die, rinse and repeat. But there are so many unlockables, so many challenges, so many things that capture the fancy of anyone looking for a good time for what might constitute a whole freaking day of work for some. Vampire Survivors actually follows a similar formula to the Binding of Isaac, Brotato, and other games, but it uses the formula and references numerous horror fra...
8/10 - Really addictive minimalist roguelite Good: - Low price for a lot of content - A lot of progression to be made - Really addictive gameplay loop - Keeps getting new updates and content Bad: - A bit too repetitive sometimes - Can be too grindy
A minimalist roguelike where survival is automatic, but strategy is everything. Vampire Survivors proves that the most compelling games are often built on the simplest ideas. With controls limited to movement, it creates a hypnotic and overwhelmingly satisfying loop of carnage and progression. You are the bullet hell. The premise is simple: survive 30 minutes against an endless onslaught. You just move; your character attacks automatically. But within that framework is a game of incredible depth. You're constantly making choices: which weapon to upgrade, which passive item to pair with it, how to build your character to become an unstoppable god of destruction by the final minute. The screen becomes a beautiful, impossible storm of pixels and light. It’s chaotic, hypnotic, and one of the most rewarding feelings in gaming. And with every run, you get stronger, unlocking new ways to play. I've sunk over 40 hours into it, and I'm still not done. It's the best value in gaming. Do your...
11/10 Over 200 hours played and I still get great enjoyment out of the game. DLC's are all fantastic. Really can't say anything more. Well worth the purchase. Btw, the vampire is in another coffin.
I'm 74 hours in and I imagine there will be many more to come. Vampire Survivors (VS) is a fantastic and addicting rogue-like with a fantastic art style, satisfying progression, and engaging gameplay. Despite the game's simplicity at first, it manages to show a surprising amount of depth around every corner. The art feels authentic to the 80s - 90s era of gaming with clear inspiration from Konami and their iconic Castlevania series, even including a DLC dedicated to Castlevania itself. Contra also gets a share of the love in its own DLC. Despite VS' heavy Konami influence, that doesn't stop it from shaking things up. Spoiler Alert:
The main game features many strange and unique stages like space 54. This is presented along side its own unique world building which interestingly makes reference to historical works such as Robert W. Chamber's "The King In Yellow" as seen in game by collecting the yellow sign.
All in all, VS is a game that is absolutely worth the price....
Whip some bats, unlock something cool. Just one more run... Last longer this time, unlock something else cool. Just one more run... Wait, this game has SIX expansions? And you can get them all for under $20? Just one more run... Oh wait, the sun has come up and I've got work today. Eh, just one more run.
It's super fun and addictive! I love playing it and I didn't enjoy games like this previously, it opened me up to a new world of gaming!
