I’ve put in about three full days of playtime into Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, and while there’s a lot to enjoy, it also leaves me wanting more. I’m currently C1 in ranked, and although I’ve only been doing online for a few days (don’t judge), I’ve played enough to get a solid feel for the game’s strengths and what it still lacks. Combat is the standout here. The game play is fast, responsive, and visually stunning. It feels powerful and dynamic—exactly what you’d expect from a Dragon Ball fighter. Beam clashes, teleport counters, and ultimates all land with serious impact, and the controls are surprisingly intuitive once you get used to the system. However, the game lacks long-term content. Within just a few days, I was able to unlock almost every character in the shop. That might sound like a good thing, but it really highlights how little there is to work toward. Many of the characters are small variations of each other, and once you understand how the in-game c...

Historically bad post launch support. If you are willing to mod the game to add new characters and stages you will be entertained, but the basegame, while solid, has incredibly little content for such an expensive pricetag. Incredibly diappointing, I almost feel bad for it.

This game makes me sad. For such a beloved series, Sparking Zero is a huge letdown. While visually pleasing at times, the game is very poorly made. The menu is overly clunky, the game does not run well and has frame issues, the UI is terrible, the story mode is lacking a lot of content, and that does not even get into the gameplay. The gameplay feels VERY unpolished. I should see terrible responsiveness and colliders in a huge game like this. Beams miss or fail to hit someone because of a rock, rushes miss, and overall I feel like I don't have control of my player that well. And then on top of that, the game is very unbalanced. A few characters can spam attacks that break the game. There is so much wrong with this game that is it not worth buying and I regret falling for the hype. Honestly, the way the developers don't care about fixing this game shows that it was a cash grab and nostalgia bait. So sad

Backshot simulator, abandoned by bandai, and a waste of money. Obviously a cash grab because there's been barely any new content, and no fixes to competitive that seem to be worth while. Barely even fun with friends because if any character happens to have a move or skillset that's completely busted, it makes playing with the "large cast" of characters meaningless. Can't go into ranked because getting out of infinite combos is reliant either on choosing a character who has explosive wave, or doing the RNG, wifi based super counter that works literally 1/3 the time or is activated when spamming. Fuck bandai for hyping this shit up when they knew they were going to abandon it and keep releasing content for Xenoverse 2 just so they can make more money.

It's fun for the first part of it you get to feel like how you felt playing the old Budokai tenkaichi series. where the dlc are causing the problem is they are adding in things people would much rather not want. We got a character from a mobile game in which the story of it is bleh and I'm sorry but the character itself is if you gave goku some saiyan armor and his memory problem was only forgetting his family member. when they could have been going for more characters from the movies that they had like example A you're missing coolers squadron, or Slugs henchmen, Giant metal cooler, ect... Bandai if you want to make the community happy do dragon ball series stuff not mobile. no one gives a shit about a mobile character except for the youtubers who use to make videos with him. You youtubers know who you are for overhyping a literal 1 character drop of nothing (ryhme, seereax, doto, the gang, nano, ect...) that dlc gave nothing but 1 basic move list character. You give us capability of ...
Bronze Medal
I bought the game with great excitement when it first came out, but the game was forgotten for a short time, so the pvp system is very bad. The game's DLCs are very unnecessary and only give a few characters. The only good thing about this game is that there are alternative endings in the story mode.

This game included my favorite character Beast Gohan, besides that I like almost nothing about this game. The destruction is lacking. The camera does a horrible job. The mechanics feel bad. The fighting is exactly the same for every character, every move is exactly the same. Every match is exactly the same. It feels like the made one character then reskinned it. The inclusion of 29 Gokus to flesh out the roaster feels like a scam. There's no flow or fun to the combat. Theres literally no content in this game.

Absolute mint game to play, some more offline content would be cool though! Maps, a random endless battle arcade mode like Tekken has and perhaps some more episode battles thanks! Love it though! Get some DBZ up yaaaaaa

As many of us who bought this game, I was super excited coming from BT3 and such other banger games. This has been a disaster of a game. It's really fun at first, but it gets really stagnant. No new maps added, no modes, the story mode was super lack-luster. The game IS SO POORLY OPTIMIZED. Its been a year since release and its so buggy on PC still. Only get this if its on sale, because good lord is this game mid.
