About This Game

SlipDream Resonator is a futuristic, multi-directional rhythm game with unique twin-stick analogue controls. Inspired by both classic rhythm games and top-down shooters, SlipDream Resonator offers addictive arcade gameplay designed to challenge while featuring eye catching visuals and a heart pumping soundtrack.

Integration through Simulation

SlipDream is a state of consciousness that allows a person to dream while being fully awake. As an attempt to create a machine that could induce such a state Advara Therapeutics created SlipDream Resonator. The simulated levels embedded within have been programmed to fully activate the user's mind and body through false stimulus and a direct link to our cloud based neural encoder. The path has been laid before you, embodiment is at your fingertips, integration has already begun.

Potentially endless music based levels

SlipDream Resonator features 23 built in levels, each with a unique soundtrack and background visual.

Players can also create and share their own Custom levels featuring custom music, album art, and background video. Join the Discord community to find a library of user made levels ready for download.

With 5 difficulty levels SlipDream is accessible to all skill levels while still offering a challenge to the true die-hards.

So this is pretty solid rhythm game, but I do have some reservations with giving it a blanket recommendation. The core gameplay is a sort of hybrid of a twin-stick shooter and an inverse Mai-Mai, with notes coming in from the edge of the screen that you collect at the center of the screen by pointing an analog stick towards and pressing the trigger on the same of the controller. As an added wrinkle, there's collectable power ups that kinda feel like they came out of an Amplitude game, but overall the core game loop is simple and pretty well executed. As for the setlist, it's pretty good IMO. There's a bent toward almost 80'ish pop and ambient pieces that feel pretty unique for a commercial rhythm game, and while there's not many tracks, there's a plenty enough of them to justify the games relatively cheap asking price. On the more questionable aspects of the game, I have issue with the games visuals. On the subjective side of things, there's some aspects of the visual design that I ...

Fun rhythm game. Works well on steam deck, but i disabled the track pads because I kept hitting them on accident. Love the visuals and the music.

Getting my hands sweaty in the best way! This game will definitely improve your hand dexterity. Great music too, some of the best tracks I've ever heard in a rhythm game.
