Storage capacity? You start with one page—yes, one—and even after upgrading to 12 , it still feels like I’m hoarding in a shoebox. This is bringing back the miserable memories I had playing Tarkov.Seriously, why is “storage anxiety” even a thing in a single-player game? Base modules? Nope, you can’t have them all—pick a few and live with the regret. I’m starting to think I’d be better off chopping down trees, building a shack in the forest, and hiring a gang of bandits to guard it. At least they wouldn’t put a page limit on my stash. Honestly, you might as well just rename the game to Escape from Zakov.

About This Game
Thank you for over 500,000 copies sold!
Half a million players have stepped into the radioactive ruins, scavenged for precious loot, and fought tooth and nail to make it out alive. That number represents not just sales, but stories. Thousands of extraction runs, loadouts tested, factions faced, and unforgettable moments of survival and chaos.
For those who are making runs into the radioactive wasteland, THANK YOU! And for those of you thinking if you should join them, well, I know 500,000 reasons why you should...
Happy hunting...
The world has ended. ZERO Sievert charges you with scavenging equipment across multiple areas, all set in an atmospheric fictitious post-apocalyptic Eastern Europe setting. Your base of operations, the bunker, is filled with traders, modding stations, and areas to make your own, providing you with progression across your excursions into the wild.
Once you’re out in the wilds of the wasteland, however, the situation becomes a lot less secure. Across the six biomes of the game, you’ll initially be armed with little more than a gun and a bottle of water, after which point it’s up to you to recover items, take out bandits, and most importantly, get back alive.
And be warned; the nuclear fallout may have impacted some of the local wildlife…

This game could have been the GZW/EFT pixel art game I've always wanted but the game designs are so bad that it's frustrating, early game is completely unbalanced, you'll get one-shot all the time by humans, pack of wolves and ghouls running at 200mph spawning out of nowhere, radiation making you bleed out (wtf?) in a matter of seconds, is there even a progression? I was playing survivor (not hunter) and the difficulty is insane right off the bat. It feels like the dev wanted to make a Dark Souls extraction shooter which is ridiculous, this game could be so much better as an extraction looter shooter kind of game, very disappointing.
Zero Sievert is one of those rare games that keeps pulling me back in. Every time a major update drops, I replay the story from the start, and it never feels repetitive. The post-apocalyptic setting, tense scavenging runs, and deep progression make it incredibly addictive. What I love most is how much care goes into each update. They’re not just bug fixes—each one adds meaningful content, reworks systems, and makes the game feel fresh again. It’s clear the developers are passionate, and it shows in every detail. If you're into hardcore survival and extraction shooters, Zero Sievert is absolutely worth your time.
I do not see how this game is not in early access. It has great potential but is extremely buggy and unpolished for a game in full release. Also there are very few features and obvious things that could have made the game play more interesting are missing. The appeal of a pixel art games is that they usually offer great number of features because of the simplicity of everything else, but there is really much to do here, or much of a complexity.
I don't want to hate, but this game is literally unplayable for me right now. I can't even get through the tutorial. My game is playing in slow motion, its like im locked to 5 frames a second. I just downloaded the game and started up my first save and this was happening. I tried restarting my game, I tried starting a new save. I even joined the official discord in hopes someone would be able to help me. I've messed with most of the settings, nothing is working. The game is just broken for no reason.
I want to like this game and give it a positive score, but I just can't. The story, gameplay loop, loot, etc are all what I would expect from a game like this, but the bigger issue is stability. This thing crashes like its held together with bubblegum and prayers. My time in game is inflated due to keeping it running. I keep it running because when I actually get the game going and it stays stable, its great. When it isn't, its a nightmare. Random crashes from inventory, just walking around, name it and it probably will cause a crash maybe sometimes. I have to reinstall it and reboot my system constantly to keep its janky behavior consistent. In no realm of reality should this game be this demanding- for Christ's sakes its a pixelated top-down shooter like many I've played before- but its like walking on eggshells with this game. Clearly the code needs to be cleaned up and memory leaks fixed. Its a damn disaster. I have 64GB of RAM in my system and near as I can tell if I use more th...
Returning player here. Gave this game a shot about a year ago when it went semi-viral. Not much has changed. Tutorial is very bare bones and leaves me with more questions than answers. Game runs like shit for some reason, despite my PC being able handle any other game of this art-style, and more demanding games just fine. Frustrating lack of real direction or instruction and confusing decisions in mechanics. Why offer me a sniper class with a scoped gun, but make me go all the way back to camp just to put the scope on? I could understand with older guns that don't have rails, but this even applies to modern guns with modern attachments. I WANT to like this game more but as it stands right now 2+? years of development it seems like the game has gone nowhere since I last tried it. Game feels like a nothing-burger after all this time, with the only change of note being mod support.
I’ve put over 100hrs into this game before writing a review. I really like the retro design of the game which keeps things simple but don’t let it fool you. This is a proper extraction game and if you just run around you will be found out. I really enjoy the loop. Pick your destination, loot as much as you can, complete a mission and decide how much longer you want to explore before deciding to leave. In terms of the story I only really have the final mission to do. I’m still working on maxing out all the weapon types but I think I’ve got a good combination on the 2 weapons I use most. The modding and upgrading is really good. This runs really well on the steam deck. All I really changed was using the right trackpad as a mouse for aiming. Everything else is good. The game is getting updated a lot and the new shooting range in the bunker is a much needed add. I’d like to see more being added for the story and additional maps/ environments. While it’s on sale or...
I do not recommended this game if you plan on playing it on Steam Deck, even with the latest update. Terrible controls. Pretty much unplayable. Even trying to change the controls in the settings doesn't help. Button labels do not correspond to anything on the Steam Deck.
So far it's enjoyable, but I wouldn't say I reccomend it. I honestly thought the game was in early access as I was playing it. So much QOL is missing, the tutorial teaches you very little. It's just... frustrating, and not in like a difficulty you overcome frustrating, but just a bad frustrating. The list of things that have come to bug me: - Sightlines. It is impossible to see enemies often due to trees and rocks and whatnot and the game being 2d. Now, I wouldn't mind this if the NPCs seemed to care about this too, but they just know where you are. Often I'll know an enemy is somewhere, but I can't find them until they shoot and I see the light from the gun. - Adding onto my last point, the amount of times enemies snipe me from off my screen is... awful. It bothers me every single time. I'm sure if I used a sniper I could see them or something, but honestly, it doesn't matter. Getting killed from off your screen isn't fun in any scenario. - Food and water seem... useless? Maybe later ...
