About This Game

Contract Rush DX is a hand-animated run and gun, with multiple playable characters and a focus on exploration! Complete Contracts and collect power-ups that strengthen you immensely, all culminating in massive boss fights! With inspiration from flash cartoons/games of the 2000s, the visuals are hand-animated with a sharp and bold style.

Taking on Contracts will have you exploring large levels, all with their own set of enemies, NPCs, and secrets!

Power-ups will prepare you for the Contract's boss battle at the end of the level. Power-ups can increase movement speed, spread-shot bullets, fire rate, and much more!

Sub-Contracts will have you taking on smaller challenge levels with a variety of objectives. Earn all 3 stars in each and get rewards!

Multiple playable characters, all with unique play styles. Some are focused on pure shoot'em up gameplay, others centered around melee attacks. If you're having trouble on a level, sometimes trying out a new character is the key!

This game is probably gonna be my 2025 game of the year. The shooting and platforming feels good. The story is extremely interesting, in the legitimately funny. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys platformers especially Mega Man. Don't be too scared to play the limited life mode the game isn't that hard. I haven't fully game overed yet and I am on act 2. Criticisms for the developers. The game isn't that dyslexic friendly as some times the text moves forward without your permission this is especially sucks because there's no voice acting. The shooting can feel a little awkward especially because it doesn't lock the direction you shoot in I'd personally prefer if the game just locked me in the direction I wanted to shoot in. TLDR BUY IT also fuck Noodle HATE that guy. I hope his podcast fails!

I didn't know what I was getting into when I first bought the game (friend really liked it so I thought i would give it a go). I'm not done the game just yet but this game is REALLY fun, great story, amazing character designs, BANGER soundtracks too. BUY THIS GAME, you won't regret it. Overall 10/10 game.

When I saw that one of the developers of Undertale Yellow is working on an original game, I can't say that I was particularly drawn in by its promotional material. Still, I remained cautiously optimistic and was willing to give it a try - and I'm glad I did, because Contract Rush DX is some of the most fun I've had with a 2D action platformer in quite some time. The premise of Contract Rush DX is straightforward: You're a mercenary, you shoot and/or slice your way through several unique stages to kill your targets, earn currency and complete contracts. There is a plot that explains why you're doing what you're doing; for a shoot 'em up, I think the story succeeds at being interesting and easy to grasp while not insisting upon itself or being too disruptive. Other than the protagonist, the game features four extra playable characters that you can "hire" with currency, when certain conditions are met. All of them boast unique skill sets, backstories and dialogue, which really adds to th...

Kinda wish for a hard mode or at least a perma death mode because the game is really forgiving with lifes. Other then that, decent run n gun game.

Cool and fun game. Theres a lot I like about it, but a few examples are: -the bosses are well made with good thought-out abilitys -lovable artstyle -great level design -interesting and tricky platforming -unique ability design -if you want some higher difficulty from the managable levels some of the challenges need some really presicly movement But what really blew me away was the end mission (and I just got the normal one), which had me on my seat the entire time not being able to think something besides"thats so awesome" over and over again. The only thing I want to critisize is that you can just shoot many enemys from far away, which is way safer, so you usally do it, but also gets boring after some time. Overall, this game was a fun and exiting experience worth the time and you should definitly play it too (:
