Gardener's Path

[b]gardener's path[/b] is a short sliding game with [b]great pixel graphics and music, but pretty bad execution otherwise[/b]. it starts in a very small resizable window every time and you have to sit through or skip the pretty but very loud intro, again, every time, with [b]slow, typewriter-like text display, accompanied by annoying sounds[/b]. then it switches to full screen if that's how you left it, but accessing the settings should come before any lengthy cutscene, skippable or not. the story is about a girl, gardener by trade, trying to protect her village and the underground gardens from giant insects. there's a bunch of dialog throughout the game with the same annoyances as the intro, but a press of a specific key (because why would enter, space or esc do anything) shows the whole sentence immediately. [b]60 levels[/b] in 4 environments, level numbers only on the level select screen (with a lot of tedious left/right scrolling if you want to replay them) and in the pause menu....

Took my smooth brain ~100 mins to wrap it up, very good feel and creative level designs - its like a fast paced ChuChu Rocket from the Gameboy Advance era with better graphics. Very clean experience, no technical issues or game-play repetitiveness, did not overstay it's welcome.

[b] A short but very sweet puzzle game [/b] The gameplay is very simple, move in 4 directions to reach the end. But it never feels tiring or repetitive as you are being introduced to new gameplay mechanics every 5 levels or so. It might feel like you are being thrown new stuff at you too often but the level design is very well-made, which makes you understand every mechanic very easily. The puzzles are good, they never felt too hard but some of them really required you to think. It might be a little inconsistent where you can get stuck on one level for 10 minutes but beat the next level in first try. Luckily there is a skip option so you are never forced to complete a level to unlock the next one. In general there is a lot of trial and error, but very quick restarts doesn’t make this annoying in any way. The graphics and music is amazing, it was the graphics that got me to buy this game to begin with. One of the best pixel art games I have seen, even though it’s not much to look...

[b]Gardener's Path[/b] is a short and relaxing puzzle game with chill music and beautiful graphics. The protagonist is a gardener who must defeat the insects that are destroying the underground gardens, as these gardens are essential for human survival after the planet became unable to produce enough oxygen to sustain life. To complete a stage, the player must destroy all the insects and reach a crystal, while avoiding the cacti that might hurt them. The player "dies" if they hit a cactus and the stage is restarted. The game contains 60 stages and new mechanics are gradually introduced, with difficulty escalating for each new mechanic introduced. There are a couple of different insects, plants and artifacts, each one with its own unique gimmick, that adds complexity to the gameplay. The gameplay is fast-paced and the player can quickly restart a stage, a very welcome aspect for those who suffer with slow-paced games. An option to skip a stage after failing it too many times also exist...

Jogo puzzle bem divertido e gostoso de se jogar, os níveis são desafiadores mas o jogo te ensina as mecânicas ao longo dos níveis. A música, arte, e atmosfera geral do jogo são relaxantes e bem zen quase como se você estivesse cuidando de seu próprio jardim. A duração do jogo é perfeita com o ritmo do desafio escalando consistentemente você nunca será pego desprevenido pelos desafios dos níveis. Recomendo com todo prazer

Amazing game! The soundtrack is super chill and the gameplay is perfectly balanced regarding difficulty. The game itself is also challenging for gamers in general, but with the option to skip levels for the more casual players.

A fun and super chill game, simple and easy puzzle to pick and play with no worries if you need or not to finish, no bugs found during the playthrough. Enjoy!
