Quick score: 5/5 Notes: Fairly unique mouse based platformer. Pretty challenging overall. Completion took me 4 hours and 933 deaths. Only real complaint would be that while the aesthetics of the 3 worlds are solid, the stages themselves tend to look rather samey. OST is limited but enjoyable. The cutscenes and "story" while very vague and abstract are animated nicely and fun to watch.

User Reviews
Eat colors is a point and click platformer, which is something I haven't seen done before other than a few mobile games. the mechanics of the game are easy to pick up (for future notice, this review was made while the game is in early access, and may not be consistent with experiences of the game post release) pros : simple. easy to learn mechanics developer responds to feedback good value for money, you're not going to beat the game too quickly photosensitive mode cons : game doesn't work well with trackpads that are normally found on laptops (currently) no colourblind mode, and no general assist mode other : I don't have access to a touch screen device that at the moment so I can't review how it plays, but I imagine it'd be pretty fun if it works high difficulty game. iirc, the game's default language is portugese, but the menu's are designed well enough that english speakers can easily change the language ( this may have been changed ) I think this game is suitble for all ages, ...
why update just to delete content and ruin the game
For a precision platformer with mouse controls, it definitely could be worse, but it could also be improved. From the trailer one may or may not get the wrong impression about how hard the game really is. It can be summed up as just carrying this blob from start to finish by boosting it between platforms. Here the difficulty lies in the fact that the blob can only stay for so long on a platform before dying so it has to go to the next one to recharge a meter shown on the left side of the screen. Furthermore, there are 3 sets of 25 levels, each introducing various obstacles and changing the main colors, hence the title. Simple enough, right? Well not exactly. You see, as soon as one starts getting into the hard stages, which doesn't take long, it becomes more and more clear that the meter empties at an alarmingly fast pace, so the reaction time demanded becomes more and more taxing. Not only that but expectedly the levels require more and more precision to be traversed as they go on, ...
lowkey one of the best games on steam. loved this thing so much. perhaps slightly buggy but still it was so good. final time 3:32:17 total deaths 1365
