About This Game

Enter into the twisted Dollhouse and experience the terrors within. ClayTown Horror is a Single-player horror game with a focus on story, puzzles, and a unique art-style.

Monsters and mayhem roam the halls of this home and, in this first half of ClayTown Horror, you will come face to face with many of them. Use all the tools at your disposal and fight back against the evils of this place. Oh, and if you can, try and find out for yourself the mystery of what has happened in this quiet hilltop house.

Want to know more, huh? Well in that case, I'll leave you with a dear resident of ClayTown; he knows the area quite well. Do enjoy your stay here, and we'll talk again soon.

Welcome to ClayTown Friend

Not many people come here, so it's quite nice to see you.
Though I must say...
You sure are tempting fate coming here.

ClayTown isn't what it used to be.
Friendly faces? Lovely Art? Life in the heart of nature?
All dead ideas.
But don't fret, there's still plenty to see.

I hear you're interested in ghost stories?
Then why don't you go to that old estate.
Mystery, Horror, Consequences,
you'll find all of that and more up there.

Be sure to look around when you get up there, who knows what you might find.

Huh? Is it safe to go up there?
There's nothing to be afraid of friend;
why, I've gone up there a few times as well.

a̷nd I'm perfectly fine

Doesn't matter if you think so or not,
we both know you'll go up there.

So be sure to knock when you go on in.

Oh, I do hope your wit is as big as your curiosity.
That estate is a tricky thing to explore.
Keys and Puzzles, Notes and Riddles
Its residents are quite a secretive bunch.

I'm sure there's a lot to uncover

Oh yes the residents, don't mind them.
They're a little shy at first, but they'll warm up to you.
So don't let their callousness offend you,
I assure you they'd love to pick your brain.

"I'm sure they'll love you"

Well friend, that's all from me.
Stay safe up there,
and don't get too overwhelmed
I hope you enjoy your stay,

and welcome to ClayTown

Congratulations! You managed to make a 24-year-old grown woman, who hasn't been scared of a horror game since she was 10, ask her big brother when he'll be home so she doesn't have to play your game by herself. I am both elated and embarrassed, why would you do this to me, no game has the right to creep me out to this extent.

I was interested in the game because I really like claymation and the trailer seemed cool. The game is advertised with cutscenes, voice acting and the premise of being part of a children’s show that somehow has gone horribly wrong. I experienced none of that in the game. There was no story other than a couple vague letter scattered about and the game consists of slowly exploring an abstract house with no clear goal. Didn’t feel like what was advertised at all.

Amazing artstyle, good plot, challenging mechanics, and I LOOOVE it! The devs are great and care a lot about this game and making it enjoyable for the players. Would highly recommend to any horror game fan, but especially if you like Little Big Planet or Nightmare Before Christmas :-)

I've been waiting for this game to come out and there is definitely a lot of promise here, I think the game needs more work. I encountered several glitches such as having the controls menu remain on screen until I reset the game, leaving through a window and ending up out of bounds and falling through the floor and seeing some areas in which there were holes in the geometry that I could see out through. There was also an issue I had where interacting with a door did not open it, and instead I had to just walk into it. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I just found it unintuitive but it took me a while to figure out how to even enter the building due to this. One of the first puzzles I came to felt frustrating because I had to alternate between reading a note, looking at a little house and looking at paintings, and after that one of the paintings was in such a dark spot that I couldn't read it at all. what was very good though is the unique aesthetic, which is achieved so well an...

+ Stylistically the game is fantastic, unique, amazing. - Gameplay mechanics-wise this game is obtuse, counter-intuitive, and some including myself do and will find this current (Nov. 2022) version of this game confusing in a way that makes the experience frustrating. the death-sound is incredibly unpleasant in every way.

Definitely enjoyed the game, playing it all the way through was a blast and I loved the twists and different challenges of some of the parts. The way different types of games are mixed and thrown in is awesome, BUT, the game left me wanting more. I want to keep going and exploring. It definitely needs more content, or else you're left with a thirst for more of it right after. Overall though, for my first time playing a horror game through, it was great.
