About This Game

Hello everyone from 🚀 ReFactory!

Do you want to build an amazing world that will work according to your laws? Then welcome to ReFactory, a sandbox strategy game where you have to build an automated factory on an alien planet.

The navigation system was destroyed and the spacecraft crashed. The crew is scattered throughout the unknown planet, most of the equipment is broken. You are the artificial intelligence of the ship. Your task is to build a city and restore equipment to find a team and return home.

LOOK FOR RESOURCES. Copper and iron ore, timber and crystals, granite and oil ... The extraction of these resources is only the beginning of the journey. You have to build equipment, conduct electricity, improve the performance of systems. With each step you will develop the city, although it will all start with a few granite stones.

EXPLORE NEW LANDS. Expand your boundaries! Gradually, you will open more and more territories, and this is a great opportunity for the construction of new factories and the growth of your city.

BUILD AND AUTOMATE FACTORIES. Produce more complex things in your own 2D world. Every resource, every new invention and building gives you tons of opportunities. Copper ore can be used to make wire, then make an electrically conductive cable, and then an assembly machine. So keep progressing!

DEVELOP TECHNOLOGIES. Move from simple technologies to microelectronics, chemical reactions, explosives and plastics. Build a factory and then a whole network of factories. More technology means more opportunities and a higher chance of finding a crew.

DEFEND THE CITY FROM ALIEN INVADERS. Fight with them on your own and upgrade your skills. Building solid walls is the first step in defense. Create mines and powerful cannons, fight with chemical weapons and arm drones — your faithful assistants.

CONSIDER YOUR ONLINE STRATEGY. ReFactory is not just about building production sites. This is a world that lives by your rules and knows the cost of every mistake. Misuse of resources will stop development, and outdated technologies will prevent an attack from repelling. So think a few steps ahead and keep your factory safe.

Consider many factors to design your interaction processes: electricity conduction, copper recycling, plant acceleration, economic strategy. New information is introduced gradually, so you quickly get used to it and begin to navigate intuitively.

The main features:

- There is no manual labor in the game: everything is automated, drones work for you.
- Depending on the mode, the player is assisted by a digital assistant, but if you understand the gameplay, start building a city without it.
- Choose the type of land, the degree of danger of the planet and the amount of resources. If you are not interested in repelling attacks, remove the appearance of monsters in the settings and solve engineering problems.
- Play puzzles when you're comfortable: develop infrastructure without using conveyors or in tight spaces.
- But here you do not need to "drive" the rendered character across the screen — you are watching the process from above.

It doesn't matter how good you are at strategy: start with the easy level and gradually progress to the hard! On the subway, on the way to work or at lunchtime — build a city and enjoy the game. All you need is a phone for you to develop strategic skills, develop multitasking and enjoy it.

We will wait for feedback, improve the game and release updates.

Your ReFactory Team.

If you like Factorio and are looking for a simplified, more frustrating and basically less fun version, then by all means this is the game for you! I have to admit I had a fair amount of fun with this game but it just doesnt quite cut it, hence the thumbs down. I may try it again once its fully released. Overall score: 4/10 PROS- -Interesting aspect of alien relics, kinda reminds me of the creeper world games. -Factorio "lite" edition - same concept, but with some story. -Spaghetti bolognase management! -Enemies to kill! -Resources to exploit... I mean extract and make the base grow! CONS- -Certain resource icons are almost identical, with no mouseover popup or title. -Figuring out what is required for a recipe is not exactly straightforward. -Planning is unintuitive. if you make a mistake you have to cancel the whole plan and start again (or build as-is and delete the mistake) -Defence drones are very underpowered- a squad seems to be only capable of removing a hive if all the ali...

Can't recommend the game in it's current state. While game is in a fairly complete state scenario-wise (haven't gone deep, but the missions I checked were fine), controls aren't fully adapted to PC. For me it was getting more annoying the longer I play. I strongly suggest waiting until controls get some much needed rework and even in such case game is somewhat overpriced. Game is fairly simple and from my point of view it can not compete with the likes of mindustry, much less factorio or dyson sphere program.

~~This review covers day 1 release and is subject to change. It will currently give a YES on the recommended thumb, because steam makes me pick one, with the caveat that I don't recommend the game in its current state at its current price.~~ Initial review comparing this game to its mobile version to the PC version. In my few minutes of playing the pc version, I have yet to see a difference between the mobile full version and the pc version outside of using arrow keys to scroll and basic mouse controls. The game is very similar to factorio/Dyson Sphere Program in that it is an overhead mining, building, automation style game. While tech trees are different in many aspects they are also very similar when comparing slightly increased technology also enhances the complexity of the game. The primary difference I can see is that ReFactory does not use an engineer/avatar style character for moving around the map. Everything is seen from an overhead standpoint and user placed items are d...

Review at Patch: "The long-awaited update" Hours Clocked: 9.5 Ultimately, with the lack of a Neutral option I am going to say that I don't recommend ReFactory. At first, I was drawn to the game looking for an Automation game because I play and enjoy games like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Project, so this seemed like an easy choice. You start off with a crashed ship, work your way through a tech tree to make a big factory to get off the planet. Not exactly the most original idea, but considering story is rarely an expected strong suit of an Automation game that's super easy to overlook. At first, it's pretty intuitive and a mechanic I sort of liked made finding ore veins interesting. Scan it out, dig it up, place your mine on the now exposed vein and you're off to the races. So far so good, but eventually the game introduces the incentive to push the player along the tech tree, and again some interesting mechanics pop up like reforesting trees and growing crystals. Automated farming to w...

a Factorio-like game adapted from mobile platform. The UI still feels like you are using a touchscreen and it makes certain stuff a little bit annoying like selecting multiple buildings (for repairs and deconstruct & rebuild) or scrolling in the building/tech menu where items are too big. Your main enemy aren't aliens but meteors lol not only will they destroy your buildings but also some resources patches. They are too frequent (at least using default game settings). In general is a good factory building game, it just needs to be made more friendly towards PC users.

Similar to Factorio. Quite engaging and detailed enough to occupy your mind and time. Give it a shot. But I actually ended up changing my initial review of the game. The game can be frustratingly slow though, and I've had to restart the campaign at least once over again. I also find that the AI of the game can be a bit sluggish and "stupid" in that it doesn't actually respond to your requests for queued up items. For example, if you prioritise building defensive structures, the game just ignores that for long periods of time, and allows the monsters to keep attacking in waves, leaving you completely defenceless. This can be very frustrating for long periods of time. The game is also just TOO SLOW at basic building and construction. It takes FOREVER to build basic buildings and you are ALWAYS running low on resources or running out of resources. I actually feel like the game cheats and steals some of your resources away from you, because it doesn't make sense that you should be r...

Similar to Factorio, without the same flawless game design. Similar enough that having both games is redundant. The campaign mode is *SO* on rails that you don't have any sort of creativity at all. Sandbox mode has not-so-obvious progression. Rather than having a problem and creating a factory to solve it, you *just* build because. Factorio is the better game. Play that twice, and buy this zero times.

I love a certain other factory / automation game, but it can be really complicated (for me) once you start getting into higher forms of power such as oil and beyond. So I was looking for another factory game that might have a better campaign / tutorial system, and this game is it. I love ReFactory. The campaign so far, I am in chapter 2, has been nothing short of awesome. One of the best things I love about the game is if you do not have a component yet, you can click on the component's icon and see how to make it. I have not yet tried sandbox, I am waiting for that to finish the campaign.

I really wanted to enjoy this game. It started off very well. It has some unique features and has a very nice factorio-lite vibe about it. The main issue it has is that you run out of raw material very quickly. All the iron ore gets used up before you know it because you filled up a chest of something. The main source of power is also a mechanic of chopping down trees and slowly waiting for them to regrow by watering them. It's not fun. Once you finally expand to get more resources, and more trees, you find you have to spend more resources getting all the raw resources back to your factories, otherwise you have to rebuild them over again. Expanding too far means the enemies will try to attack your base, so you build more turrets and walls to defend your base, running out of resources again! Overall this game frankly doesn't know what it wants to be. It lacks a clear design path and suffers because of it. It's too frustrating to be a fun game.

I've played this several hours now offline. Second edit ---------------- I thought I'd give the game one more try after two very frustrating attempts. Things were going well and I thought maybe I finally was going to get through the second mission (of four). But then I had two meteors in a row fall in my first irrigated forests and destroying (irreplaceably) most of the area I'd just laboriously finished. If that was an isolated occurrence I would have been fine with it, but it's not, the meteors seem to target mostly the only two resources that are normally renewable and that take some effort to make renewable. I wish I hadn't wasted my time with this game! First edit ------------ My original review is at the end. I have changed my recommendation to negative after playing a little bit after that. Trying to get through the second mission was an exercise in total frustration. You have constant meteor strikes, which more often than not destroy your irreplaceable forests. You are cons...
