Lazy Bear’s style all over this one, and I freaking love it. Quests can be a bit confusing tho as some don’t even tell you exactly what to do or where to go, so I’d say always keep the quest page and map open while playing. I ran into a funny bug where I somehow walked into the water on the beach bridge and can;t get back out, but it only happened once so I’m not really complaining. I really enjoy the house decorating system, and I love that my character can knit, cook, and set up parties. Most of the quests are basically cooking, talking, partying, or delivering items, which honestly fits the cozy vibe. It’s a story-driven game, so once you set up your final party there’s not much else to do but for 25 bucks it’s absolutely worth it. The story is actually pretty long. I took 33 hours to get 100% and had a blast the whole way. The graphics are cute, the story’s fun, and the overall vibe kept me hooked. My only real gripe is that you sometimes need a lot of imagina...
This game is very cute and I like that you get to take your little camp with you everywhere. However the tasks start to feel like you are just running back and forth across the island like the developer intentionally made every achievement as far away as possible. It got old. There is also no choice. It is just one task after another and they have to be performed in a specific order or they cannot be accomplished. It feels like being railroaded into running errands and less like a cozy little video game. The farming and crafting needs to be more flushed out and better explained in game. Overall this game is decent but mid.
This game is difficult for me to recommend, even as a League of Legends fan. I went into it hoping for a cozy farming and story-based game but what I got was a grindy crafting-focused progression simulator with a relatively empty story (albeit still cozy). The first 2-or-so hours of the game was splendid and felt like exactly what I was expecting. After that, however, the extra systems the game throws at you felt nothing but repetitive, incremental, and occasionally even redundant. That being said, there is a lot of good about this game - basically everything outside the gameplay loop and story. The music, setting, dialogue, character design, and art are what kept me there but it wasn't entirely pleasant. I also found it much more enjoyable to play on Controller than PC, despite my preference for the latter. Unless your goal is to experience all Riot Forge (and their developers) had to offer OR the cozy-but-grindy single player experience is, in fact, what you are looking for, I would...
LEAGUE OF LEGEEEEEEENDS
This game is not for everyone because it's fundamentally a lot of resource gathering and fetch quests. It's relaxing though and tells and interesting story.
I would only recommend this game if you enjoy grinding for items and levels - also if you've played league it's quite fun to see all the yordles in their own world and explore their roles and stories in the game There where moments of slight frustration where you would have to really put in a bit of time to collect stars to level up your skill trees just to continue the story Be prepared for the game to not hold your hand and tell you exactly how to do everything (I got stuck in the beginning of the game on how to do anything, it probably took me maybe twenty minutes on how to figure out the next step but I got there haha) Overall the game isn't terrible, the graphics are cute and the story is light fun, so if you enjoy a cozy grind game this is definitely one for you
I have more than a 100 hours in Graveyard keeper and playing LoL since beta, i was really looking forward to play this game. But it was a mayor let down. Pros: -The art is beautifully -Music is alright Cons: -Most of the game systems -The aura system is annoying, not fun at all -Imagination grind, force you to feed ppl then hold a party, this will be your main game loop -Story is meh, no where near Graveyard keeper's. -No humor at all What this game does best is wasting your time, when you are not waiting for resources you just run up and down. Could not even finish all achievements because one of the lookout point were bugged :/
