A solid shmup with good action, plenty of unlockables and a consistent challenge. The dev has been releasing regular updates with more content and features, and each one has made the game better and better.

It’s a pretty fun and original shooter game reminiscent of Galaga. What makes it good is it’s customization of ships and team composition. Each ship has it’s own way of firing, and a different sub weapon, so the choice of ships aren’t merely cosmetic. It also has a sick soundtrack which is definitely a bonus. The sprite work is well done, I wasn’t confused as to what was what. Overall it’s a pretty great game with multiple modes that you could play over and over again. Well done

Tri-Star overall rating 38/50 Why? let me elaborate the points rating system i have for reviews. (5 points is the lowest you can earn 10 is my maximum rating in that category respectively) 5 is kind of a pity score 6-10 is really where review and rating comes in. -Visuals- 7 points "The game is pixel like taking some inspiration from classic top down and 2D side scrolling space shooter games, the sprites look well put together frame for frame. The game looks really smooth for what it's worth at face value but some projectiles, and ships i will admit might look and move strange barring bugs or intentional design this game is well advertised as being a bullet hell roguelike experience." -Gameplay- 8 points "it's playable for what you're doing and getting yourself into you have great controls that allow you to warp, you can put yourself in good position to deal more damage to enemies or avoid the onslaught of projectiles. Bonus controls are indeed MAP ABLE. The bosses have very nice...

Fun and cute game to hyper fixate on. If you enjoy(ed) space invaders, galaga and the likes you'd probably like this one as well. Also, my ADHD is vibing with the music a bit too hard *chefs kiss*.

If you are up for a challenge than this game is for you Tri-Star was my introduction to the "bullet hell" genre and it is unforgiving to newcomers. What makes it difficult is the fact that after you die, your ship changes and so does its play-style/strategy. It makes it to where you aren't allowed to navigate your ship through a level based off memory since depending where you die, the next ship will make you approach waves of enemies differently. Depending how much of a challenge you want will very how much you will enjoy this game. If you are looking for something more casual like space invaders or galaga then I would stay away from this game. Like I said this game is for those who want a challenge.
