About This Game
IDIOTIC is a fast-paced single-player FPS where you can switch between alternate dimensions at will. Wreak chaos and improve your character as you move at break-neck speed.
------
Switch between alternate dimensions at will
As you are torn between the fractures of reality, you can switch between The Top and The Alt.
The Top has your “normal” reality with flying, deadly robots, and people in suits trying to kill you, but also has the rewards and objectives. The Alt is a darker, deadlier version of the top with corrupted zombies and the Neon Stringler trying to kill you, but you can regain health and reposition from The Top there. Use them both to achieve your goals.
Wallrun, double jump and slide around in procedural levels
Every game mode requires the need to use your advanced movement and your dimension switching abilities. Raid the ever-changing city and cause chaos. But if you're not fast enough, you'll find chaos upon you too!
Use either a gun or a melee weapon
Each are fit for a different playstyle, with their own Temporary Boosts you can find across the map. Bonk/shoot your enemies to death!
Buy permanent boosts with the coins you find
In every combat game mode you can find coins as a reward, either for your speed or ability to survive long enough. Use them to buy permanent boosts and improve your chances of survival.
To summarize, IDIOTIC has:
- Alternate dimensions (only one is called The Alt though)
- Stupid Weapons
- Fun movement
- High pace
- Low IQ
Made by a noob solo developer that tries his hardest.

31 Jul 2022 Edit: Note that the game has been set to $10 (from $15) while in Early Access development. I have not changed the rest of the review to reflect this, but I wanted to acknowledge it here. 25 Jul 2022 Edit: Full Review edited after first game update in more than 3 months. This review is split into 3 sections; one for TL;DR, one to review the changes in the latest update in detail, and one for the base game review itself.
TL;DR Review:
This game lacks the content it needs to justify its price, was evidently rushed for release, and hasn't seen any new actual gameplay content since before launch. 3 Guns, 3 Melees, 2 Gauntlet maps, 2 Arena Maps, and 1 Destruction map. The gunplay and sounds range from underwhelming/unsatisfying to annoying. Development progress fails to address the game's repetition, gameplay issues, and lack of content. The most recent update has improved the visuals, but added a slew of new bugs and issues, drastically decreased perfo...
I really like it and it has a lot of potential but it seems like there isnt really a goal to it, but once again the mechanics are 10/10 also would be cool if you could go above 144hz and change keybinds
Smooth movement. It's a fun game for sure
I've followed this game, as a playtester and follower, for a small while, and I've got a few things to say before people look at the giant thumbs down on my comment and leave. Please just read this or CDrive's review for a good insight to this game currently. This new visual rework is very cool and well done, but, with the wrong computer it just doesn't work. I can barely play for a second without the gun losing it's texture or the level not rendering and looking bad. When it does work, however, and for me that hasn't happened yet, it's very pretty and the level design and decour is very well done and i have got to hand it to Ayen, it is really pretty. I really like the visual update but it isn't really working for me... might be because of my computer or maybe it is something with the game but for now i am probably gonna refund the game until i get a good, working, solid computer. In other words, the combat is very fun but can get reeaaally repetitive, and once you get stronger, mo...
It's that one mission from Titanfall. Me like
I don't have too many hours on it but so far it has been very fun and enjoyable. I plan on playing this game a lot more.
I'll preface this entire review by saying this. This game is fun. It has a core loop that is genuinely fun, and has a lot of potential to grow and evolve. I'm eagerly following the development of this game and I really hope to see it grow into something great. But at this current moment, even while on sale, it's not anywhere close to being worth the money being asked for. The game only has two real pieces of enjoyable repeatable content: Arenas and Destruction. Arenas, while fun, lacks variety. I don't mean that map variety is particularly bad, but the gamemode itself lacks variety. Outside of upgrading yourself mid-match, there's very little to do. There's no shakeup in gameplay like modifiers (lower gravity, only explosive enemies, etc.) and the lack of enemy variety only further amplifies problems with the mode. It's by no means a poorly made mode, it just lacks the spice that it needs to remain interesting. Destruction is the mode with by far the most potential. Procedurally craf...
