About This Game

Conundrum is a first person puzzle-game. Trapped in a strange complex, go through rooms containing enigmas and other mysteries. Each piece is a mystery and all the pieces of the puzzle fit together as you explore the complex. Your only companion is a mysterious person who talks to you, can you unravel the dark secrets of this strange place ?

Conundrum stands out from other puzzle games due to its level design which constantly renews its environment. Where one room is an enigma, the whole complex is a mystery. The experience lasts about 2 hours depending on the level of the test subject. Mysteries and enigmas are hidden for the more adventurous.

At first glance, Conundrum is a short and fairly easy pixelated puzzle/platformer. You are presented with a series of rooms with switches, boxes, and gates that must be navigated through to proceed through the complex. It uses the standard keyboard/mouse combinations (WASD, run, jump, interact). There is no save function so if you exit the game, you will start from the beginning. I finished my first pass through in under 45 minutes so the lack of save on exit was not a big deal. Once you have achieved the first ending, a series of new paths open up and things become more interesting and a whole lot more complicated. When you exit and restart in the first room, these new paths remain accessible. What first seemed like a really short game expands as previously hidden areas open and new challenges are presented. I would encourage players to work through the optional endings just to see how much bigger Conundrum is than it first appears. With the exception of one timed platform sequenc...

What a great little puzzle-game! Somehow I found the way to this game, a few days before its release. I liked the concept and the pixel-art, so I decided to put it on my wishlist. I was happy when I received an e-mail a few days after that this game is available now. One day after I made the purchase, and I started playing the game on the same day. The game was right how I imagined it to be. A puzzle-platformer mixed with mystery. If I had to compare it to another game, I would name the "Portal"-series. I managed to get 7 out of 9 achievements. Some were easy, some were hard to achieve. There are 2 achievements left, and I am not quiet sure how to get them. But I will for sure! I can suggest this game to everyone who loves puzzles with a small amount of mystery-elements like "Portal" and "The Talos Principle". Thanks for reading, and have fun discovering all the achievements and mysteries! :)

I really liked the beginning of the game, and the _twist_ lured me in completely. Then the puzzle game quickly turned into some sort of stealth game where I had to play hide and seek with robots. After 23 fails I gave up. If you like games that turn into something else than the premises, or you just good at stealth games, this one is for you. I better go twist my brain in low paced, less frustrating games.

Wow, this is underrated. Games like these are why I like to sift through the newly released games. As you may have speculated from the tags, or other reviews, this game has multiple endings; But it's strange because at first glance, you don't actually realize it. You start it, you beat it in like 5 minutes, you see the credits, "made by Nogam" and you're sitting there like, "What?"-- but then, the game opens up and slowly shows you what makes it a hidden gem. There's a mysterious feel to the whole experience; almost gave me Portal vibes- yet, simultaneously- being completely original in how it presents itself. The puzzles themselves are challenging enough for me to rack my brain and make me feel like a genius solving them. They all seem pretty unique, and solving some of the tougher ones requires you to think really outside the box. I don't really want to explain much more; a lot of it is better if you just experience it yourself. It's super well-priced, and I highly recommend it....

Unfortunately I am a coward and
Ending D
will never be something I finish, but this game has a lot more depth than meets the eye at first. Definitely work exploring and discovering for yourself. Warning for spooky elements as those aren't apparent in the trailer or in any other reviews, and they're something I really don't enjoy. Edit: Have completed the game and the spooky content mentioned above. If you're worried about jump scares or anything intense, there is nothing like that.

Greatly surpassing its initial impressions, this is a neat little puzzle game with a focus on interesting multi-layered secrets. Some sections that rely on timing and precision could be a little frustrating but overall I enjoyed the game a lot. My final play time for completion was over four hours, so I think there's good value to be had here; I heartily recommend it.

More than just being a love letter to Portal the game really has its own personality. It is pretty short but if you want to discover it all it can be pretty tricky. The way it is designed is really clever. For the price it's a must play if you enjoy puzzle games. Hope to see more from Nogam soon!

Fantastic. At first the Portal-esque framing with a so-so voice actor was very close to turning me off. It was only for an early secret or two and the knowledge that the game was going to "unfold" that kept me going. The game all but flat out tells you it's going to unfold. And unfold it did into something great. The puzzles became sharper, the atmosphere changing, the carrot on a stick more refined and I had to break out the notebook for a few. It also made me glad that this has been so under the radar (unfortunately) because it meant I had no written guide to follow - I had to solve it all myself. It falls into some tropes and the voice acting is somewhat charming but more so amateur, but I felt like the puzzles and the way it reinvents it's setting over and over was truly novel
