Pleasant. That’s it. But that’s all it tries to be, and I respect it for that. Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling offers a unique spin on the point-and-click psychological horror genre. For starters, it's presented in a vertical format, reminiscent of a mobile game in the way it's framed. This stylistic choice adds a surprising amount of charm, forcing the game to operate within the boundaries of a smaller screen. Such constraints often drive creativity, and this game fully embraces that principle—using screen shakes, subtle movements, and frame shifts to create a sense of unease as things gradually grow more sinister. short, unsettling, yet weirdly soothing story for anyone who has dealt with anxious thoughts. i also really appreciate the support for macos
The base game is okay. Short, and has some okay ideas. The art is very, very pretty though. The DLC, however, is MUCH better. Much creepier. Much better vibes. Much more interesting. Quick time events are eh, but it does add a bit more to the game. The actual story and what they're trying to say is much better performed here than it was in the base game, and I liked it a lot more. You could do a lot worse for the price of the game + DLC, especially when it's a bit cheaper on sale. I really enjoyed my time and I thought it was fun. Plus, it has some great points shop items.
Great game, though I think there should be a gore tag on it. The DLC is definitely worth it, only 0.89 GBP for a perfect continuation.
I absolutely love this game so much! The art style to the story and the lore behind it is everything!
I wonder, if I count every breath, one after another, will the shaking finally stop…? I wonder, if I hold them long enough, maybe the panic will fade…? But it never does. So I count again.
Cool game, the true ending of the DLC brought me to tears. I hope the next one also syncs with my personal relapse.
