When I was around ten, I clicked on a gameplay on YT of this game. Within the first seconds that galaxy appeared. I already knew, it was going to be divine. From the first moment to the last it was. If I could truly describe what it felt like, I would be content. Imagine an arm with its hand holding a light match just came out of these words, this. And it came towards your eyes, to set on a light that never stops burning inside you. That reached deep into the core of what you are. I would be content if someone ever felt the same.

This game has gained my first review. EA app does not see it. Impossible to create an ingame account. Support website has an error 404. A complete waste of time trying to resolve the game issues.

Probably a 7/10 from me. Interesting concept, but feels like a lot of missed opportunities from the devs, especially at the Space Stage.

It's the definition of cool concept and bad execution, there's many good ideas being explored here and all of them are thrown to the shitter once you leave the tribal stage, think part of why people enjoy the cell and animal stage of the game so much is because you're still controlling one individual of that species, and when the tribal and other stages swoop in the way this gam plays just shifts completely, which would've been fine if it had enough variation to make it fun. but that's not the case. if you play spore 1-2 two times you basically explore everything the game has to offer, because all the events and changes are barely felt or affect the progression. it's way too linear to be an evolution game because it doesn't take full advantage of the concept "species evolve differently". It's too much of a simplistic game, for broad idea.

Honestly, I watched people play this game for years before ever downloading it, and when I purchased it, I was afraid that I would be underwhelmed simply because I indirectly consumed the game for so long, but every time I play through this game, I just love it so much. There's not too many complex or overwhelming elements to it, but there's enough customization to where every save file is different and strategies change between stages and games. Honestly, it can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be, and it's one of those games that aged well and gets better when you actually play it versus watching others do so. Genuinely love the game, and while there might be some nostalgic elements to my verdict, I genuinely recommend this game for everyone.
