Not at all a simulator. Kind of an attempt at Atlantic Fleet but with no mechanics. Don't tell me damage control is detailed, or a mechanic when all I do is select from auto, auto maneuver or auto weapons. The gunnery is ludicrous, with your main guns firing two salvos back to back as soon as one hits fire, which was impossible. It was like playing chess with pawns only and an old monopoly piece that didn't belong on the board. Needs lots of time to cook. In the meantime I'll go back to Atlantic Fleet or UA: Dreadnoughts.

I regret to be the only recent naysayer, but there is nothing in this game to even mildly model how German and British gunnery control operated in 1914. The player receives no rangefinding data before opening fire. RIDICULOUS! The rangefinding in the navies could be iffy for initial fire (especially for the Royal Navy with its short-based rangefinders), but no information, at all, is given to the player/gunnery officer. There is no firing on the roll, this is shooting when the ship is on the upward of its roll, not downward, in fact, these miraculous ships do not roll at all. Basically, this is a hunt and shoot children's toy with none of the real fire control procedures modeled. 1914 Naval gunnery was not just shooting into the blue, and then ranging up or down based on the fall of shot. This is far from Atlantic Fleet's basic modeling of mid-20th century naval gunnery control, which was a superior toy, but toy never the less. This item is just a toy, and I see no sign of it rising ab...
