A game unlike anything I've played before. Very trippy. Which is good. Its a true hidden gem more people should know about. If you like games akin to slay the spire or undertale, I'd highly recommend.

I will write a proper review at some point, however i am writing just a small note here considerin how many hours i have quickly sunk into the game it'd be rather rude not too. I like the game it's good, Bronzo stole my house. I'd say that the game itself has around 50-75 hours of gameplay if you merely just want to 100% the base game however i would recommend also going into mods as alot of them are really fun and either add new final bosses like Doula/March or give ya more characters to play around with. Now i know that on surface fighting the same bosses with different characters over n over may sound boring it really isn't as there is alot and i do mean ALOT of variety and if we count the mods of the game which to an extent i think i should as they are free, you can add with say salt enemies, around 100+ more enemies to your game. or more bosses like with Glitch's freaks or the Enemy pack. There is most certainly no lack of actual game here to play Ontop of that i will say that...

A great turn-based game with charming yet bizarre characters and an interesting twist on the usual turn-based system. The music is an absolute banger most of the time, and I think one of the characters sums up the insanity of the game best: 'I'm like a horny Jesus'. estimated time: 15h rating: 7/10

Never would have thought a turn-based RPG could scratch my Binding of Isaac itch, but that is both the intent and greatest success of Brutal Orchestra. Not to say you have to love BoI to like this game, but the satisfying feeling of constantly unlocking new things that made BoI so successful is done expertly here. Also the transgressive, disgusting setting with elegant, punchy writing makes my brain crave more. It's a bit on the easy side for me, I've won most of my runs and unlocked a third of the achievements in just 11 hours, but judging by how low the completion rate is on a lot of those achievements, this is definitely not a universal experience. If you play your Shin Megami Tenseis on the highest difficulty, the challenge is satisfying yet breezy, while others may find it more bloodthirsty.

Incredibly well-polished roguelite, in its music, visuals, combat, everything. Combat especially is extremely dynamic but may be pretty difficult to comprehend at first. That's an understatement, it can be VERY hard sometimes, even beyond the start of the game. It's definitely not for everyone. I can see people being overwhelmed by all the options but I personally love how open-ended combat is, and how many options you have at disposal. Unlocking new characters into your party is ALWAYS exciting. Encountering new potential party members is always a big deal, and each new addition offers their own little benefits, and even potential downsides to work around that completely changes the way you strategize over time. The overall tone of Brutal Orchestra's world is confusing, miserable, bleak; but despite that there are still sweet moments, and self aware humor about its depressing world that feels genuine, and isn't obnoxious which I really appreciate. It's actually funny. This game has a...
