Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister

Love the idea of a Warhammer VR game but this just aint it. I don't particularly mind the characters but they barely have any life to them. Levels are boring and repetitive. The textures and environments aren't very appealing, with barely any cool set pieces. Also, the Chainsword is completely useless compared to any of the other melee weapons, which was a big disappointment.

I really enjoy immersive VR games and I love the Warhammer 40K universe. This is the only game that lets me actually be in 40K in VR, and I had a great time with it. The shooting and melee combat mechanics, along with the holster system, feel fantastic. Movement with the option to dash works really well too. There are also many comfort settings for people who might feel sick in vr. The game offers several Chapters, though a few of them are unfortunatelly short two-minute sequences serving a cutscene purposes instead of full missions. Textures aren’t the highest resolution, and enemies can react a bit oddly to hits (apart from the cool dismemberment). But I hold VR games to a different standard than flat-screen titles. It was also long as a normal vr game – about 5 to 6 hours. What I really appreciated was the variety of environments, enemy types, and weapons, plus the ability to use faith powers through gestures – shield, slow-mo, and push.
