Contacting developers: Dear developers of the Gladiator project, I saw in your project what is missing now in all similar games with this historical focus. I well understand that the project is under development and is in early access. But I really liked the implementation of some mechanics that can be made even better. 1. Pretty clear menu to start the game. 2. Quite adequate options for setting up the hero. 3. Not bad combat mechanics (for an early access game), but it needs to be worked on. You can take several similar projects as a basis and mix them for the specifics of this project. Take MORDHAU and M&B as an example. I consider the combat mechanics in these games to be cult, which is why thousands of players fell in love with these projects. 4. Historicity is felt! DO NOT GO AWAY FROM THIS SETTING! Stick to the history and use the names and titles of the time so that the game would at least hook the history buffs. As a maximum, it has become an example of a high-quality gladiato...

Needs to have more variety of styles like Dimachaerus (Dual Swords) and the Retiarius (Net and Trident) The hair looks horrible and need more different styles. Had to keep him bald to actually look decent. Then when I lengthen the legs it just crashes. Also not beginner friendly. I dont mind losing but since it takes forever to get into another match. I feel like all that prep later is just not worth playing for the day. Might as well get save point so I could try different ways to go about it then spend another 5 to 10 minutes getting into another match. If you need references of good Gladiator games. Colosseum Road to Freedom. And sadly the Online only multi player mode of Ryse Son of Rome. If it was not a online only 10 year paperweight game. It would have been one of the best gladiator games that was connected to the main game.

It will take a bit of work to get the game to where it needs to be, but great potential and fun so far :)

This game has a lot of potential but it was not ready for early access yet, hard getting past the menu's and its very clunky, Animations in combat are quite good and the idea is great, need a lot more Development before its ready to be played.

It seems like this game's development has been discontinued. Though I'm not sure. The combat in this is meh. The mechanics aren't thoroughly explained but you can figure a lot out by just playing it I guess. Very boring and repetitive. You seem to only fight gladiators that you hire as in your opponent is people in your "ludus." Though to be fair that may change as you get your first arena. I just don't know as the game doesn't explain it well and its a boring long grind to get enough fame to get one. You start out in some roman camp. The technology for research is a joke as most research is another gladiator type that takes only one turn to learn and research. Animal fights are not a thing. Each day you have three time slots to make matches. You always make a main fight match with your created gladiator. In the other two time slots you can select exhibition in one and put together another fight. For the third time slot, you have animal fights, chariot races or a theatre ...

still a little buggy, but its to be expected with early access. great set up and a whole lot of fun. three things i would suggest to developers 1- i dont like how you loose prestige when you spare another gladiator, they cost more than you typically make off of one day and it is nearly impossible to get both prestige and money at the same time. as well as having to kill your own gladiators 2- why do you spawn in some random area every time you start, and have to run a country mile to the arena. youd figure the gladiators would be near the arena 3- there should be a stall where i can sell my extra loot that is taking up space and weighing me down instead of just dropping them somewhere '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' hey, been a minute since i wrote this review. i am really looking forward to the full/completed version ...
