It's pretty good for what it is.
While I am mildly experienced, I don't consider myself a great puzzle game or adventure game player. I still miss some obvious stuff from time to time. So my short playtime probably could have been even shorter if I had connected one item with the place where it must be used, which just so happens to be one of the few actual bottlenecks in this game, which is otherwise rather open. While it's not a total leap of logic, it's probably the only time the game feels arbitrary (okay, maybe that and one "keep guessing until you get the right order" puzzle elsewhere), as the game gives you ample clues. Speaking more generally on the game's length, after the introductory "tutorially" area you get thrown into what you guess is the game's first proper act... and then you finish that and it rolls straight to the ending frame. Granted, it'd have been a rather detailed first act (four subareas from the hub each with their own branching rooms), but ...

I Know that you've heard this a thousand times before: "The Game Had So Much Potential", and it did, BUT: The beginning started out just fine and things made total sense...but then we come to a "spring palace door" and the game just ends because you can't go any further if you can't get into that door. So, what is the problem? Well, this is the ONLY puzzle in the game that requires you to use the keyboard (HOW could a person know this without a walkthrough)? >So, as you can see, things just seem to go downhill from there. I have No Idea how ANYONE could recommend this game just from the 'spring palace door' "TRICK". If a game starts out great and then turns into an illogical mess, How on earth could anyone recommend it?...Who knows, but I can't. Like I said: It started out as a good logical puzzle game and then just turned into this convoluted mess.
Not really my kind of game these days but I quite enjoyed it for a change. It was a typical 'collect this here and put it somewhere else' kind of game-play. There were quite a few puzzles but not too difficult. Many of them required finding out information in another location to solve (as you might expect). Lots of coming and going although I think there was a map you could use to jump to another location but I forgot it was there. The Inventory was a bit annoying in that it was placed over the back button but otherwise worked well. The automatic 'notes' kept a record of most visual things you needed to remember - which was very helpful. There was also a very extensive list of questions and answers if you were really stuck but they didn't really help as well as they might because they didn't follow the step by step actions that the game needed you to follow like in a walk-through so often the answers didn't really give you what you needed and often only provided spoilers for later pu...
