About the Game

Criminals aren't born – they are made.

Welcome to the early 2000s! You are Eddie, and a lifestyle of bad choices made you an outlaw seeking refuge. Don't worry tho, Isla Sombra is the perfect place for fugitives like you!

You're not planning to just surrender and stay there forever though. Prove your worth, use your talents and get your life back! Making a fortune along the way won't hurt either...

Experience the open world of Isla Sombra and simulate your drug-dealing adventure! Make crime your day-to-day job. Gather and collect ingredients, work hard to gain customers, take their orders and sell your stock. Remember to use the services of your employees and influencers.

Buy all the best furniture and equipment – decorate and customize your hideouts and stockpile your labs! Your gang also needs good time and resource management so invite your friends into a 3-person co-op mode to share the workload in your business.

Avoid combat or thrive in it. Deal with enemy NPCs and gain street cred and reputation. Time to show who's boss!
252 Hours of Bugs and Pure Developer Failure – This Game is Used as a Torture Device in Guantanamo

"If suffering was a game genre, this would be Game of the Year."
I have all achievements in this game. 252 hours. I even played the demo before release and spent dozens of hours before achievements were even added. And I can say with absolute certainty:

This game is garbage.
The only positive thing I can say is that the soundtrack is genuinely good – but good music can’t save a broken mess like this. I was genuinely excited for this game after the demo – the story there was actually guided, if I remember correctly. The demo also had tons of bugs, but people overlooked them – after all, it was just a demo and who knew what might be added later. I even thought that by the full release we’d see drivable vehicles, but those now seem to be "announced" instead. My thoughts on that are in the gameplay section. Then came the full releas...

Imagine with me there was a game before this that aced mechanics of having to not only balance stealth and parkour during heartpounding deliveries but also involved moments of thought to create mixes that would addict your clients to keep your diluted trash profitable without "Killing Kenny". This game isn't that game. This game shares the name and concept but fails to even live up to what I would expect a demo to be for the sequel to DDS. Ubisoft would be proud to call this their game with the glitches and bugs, in all honesty I think the Ubisoft style was what they were aiming for with this game given the horrid parkour system and the even worse (new) fight system. Pass on DDS2 and save yourself some coin by buying DDS1, that's without touching on the legal drama side that is ongoing at the moment. N.B. I'll keep racking up my hours in it even though I don't recommend DDS2. Just trying to put 100 hours in it before the devs make a savebreaking patch years after they last cared...

It's clearly unfinished. The drug mixture is a complete mess and doesn't match the actual promotional video. The ending just forces the time to drag on. It's really tiring. I didn't feel any joy.

The Island feels uncanny and unnatural hard to get into the game feels too much like a computer simulation than an online world

I'm sorry to say, but this game just doesn't hold up. And it breaks my heart, because I was a huge, avid fan of DDS original. I loved everything about that game. It was a meme, it was immersive, the music was delicious, the police were terrifying and a challenge... This one? It's... It feels weird. It feels like seeing an old friend and realizing you don't recognize them. Let's break it down, small to big: 1. The code is still probably written in a lot of the original Polish, therefore sometimes random Polish words appear when you're trying to play the game, due to gaps in the translation. 2. The interface is not very pleasant. It just feels a lot less immersive and a lot less challenging than the original. To illustrate an example of what I mean: In the original game, you had to very carefully navigate around every inch of the ghetto and remember where the police might show up from. Now granted, having a bit more freedom of movement is cooler than being boxed in all the time, but ...

I think this is a pretty good game. In my opinion it is easier than the first game, because I got them in a pack and played them both, but the first game didn't catch me enough. The progression is a little bit slow, but with my slow playstyle this is good. The game is a bit complicated at first, but you can get used to it. The storyline and maybe progression line is a bit short - at least at the ending I would have played the story further. The product making is enjoyable, but you have to make a half world tour in the end, if you want to make every type of product. Now you can grow mushroom at home, that update made the game much enjoyable. I play it on geforce now so I don't experience if it is laggy, buggy or anything. The graphics are good.

Game is fun at first but then just becomes an endless cycle that gets boring pretty fast. Progression doesn't seem rewarding at all. I honestly wouldn't waste your time with this L.

This game was not ready for release, character changes every time reloading a saved game, no way to choose, (characters have different stats) several story missions dont pull all players in and some get locked out of the story for those missions/content. bug where sometimes you go to load in a save and your save game is not in the continue list yet still in the save folder location and could lose your full progress, exploit where you can use a mixer, mix amp and set to sell as crack to obtain that product early. some deals through text messages dont pay out when delivering product, will say 0 received. game advises to deal at day and not at night yet most customers show at night only in party spots. now and then when loading a save game map is recovered and bus stops are missing, have to re-explore to get them back yet still shows shop locations. (these are all from a mod-less save/game). cant build/place outdoor furniture in the yard or on the patio of any of the villa's, i reco...

I tried to like this game, but ultimately couldn't. Here are a few reasons why: 1. Performance: The way the game runs is confusing, sometimes you get very high frames while on occasion (mostly) you are stuck stuttering between 15-30 fps. This cannot be noticed by a new player, because it doesn't affect the beginning island, however once you move on to the other side of archipelago it will be very noticeable. My system is not high end by any means, but it still crushes the required specs listed on the store page. The game does support dlss, but I don't think it should be necessary for a game that recommends you use at least a rtx 2060. 2. Mechanics: I can't say much on the mechanics, since there is barely any. Everything from the first game has been downgraded to timers and crafting menus. Instead of pouring soil or planting seeds, you click a few buttons on a menu and watch a timer go down. This wouldn't be very bad, if it weren't for the fact that the time it takes to do thin...
