About This Game

Jack and Kelly, the space colony newlyweds of Our Personal Space, are embarking on a new adventure—parenting! Be an authoritarian tiger dad, a laid-back buddy dad, or anything in between while also planning your farm to carefully meet your family's and community's needs.

Lead your community as you navigate between several factions: the rich megacorp R.E.T. and its miners, your fellow colonists, and a group of maverick farmers who leave the safety of the colony to live on their own. Your parenting decisions will affect your child's competence, independence, and attachment, which ultimately lead to one of four endings.

Features:
  • Parent your daughter from her infancy to adulthood.
  • Parenting options based on modern child psychology and parenting research.
  • Three different factions to negotiate between.
  • Interactive dialogue where you decide Jack's attitude and approach to his family, farm, and community.
  • 150,000 words with branching options leading to one of 4 endings.
  • Customizable farm where you balance crops for calories, nutrition, and value.

Not rated; suitable for teens and up. Contains some discussion of reproductive health, alcohol, and death.

This game is truly special. A unique visual novel about raising a family, this game gives you a fantastically balanced view on parenting whilst also having a unique plot with many genuinely unexpected twists and turns. While it may take a bit of getting used to (even if you've played the previous game 'Our Personal Space' (Which you absolutely should!)) this is a game that is absolutely worth your time. It truly has a lot of love put into it, and I did find myself tearing up at the end. Definitely give this (And the prequel Our Personal Space) a go!

I did not expect to like this series. But I love it. A relationship sim, a farming sim, a parenting sim, and a space exploration sim! All wrapped up in a neat package. 22+ earth years of story. I don't know the words to say everything I feel but if you want a game with as many high points as low points, worth every penny.

A bit longer than the first game in the series, Space to Grow makes learning to be a good parent fun. The setting is interesting and realistic. The characters and situations are very relatable. If you liked Our Personal Space, you will like this one even more!

My metric of a good story is whether i get teary eyes. Unfortunately the game did not give me teary eyes... my eyes just watered substantially. Completely honest though i am glad to see a sequel to the original and this was a rather enjoyable game. The story was great but my favourite experiences with the game were the child's development and seeing how they turned out. I also felt an actual attachment to most of the characters and was saddened when i would see one die. The farm management stuff i could take or leave honestly which is all that can be said about it. TLDR: Story is excellent as well as the characters and one of the best parent sims i have played.

This game is incredible. It's a really good story about being a Dad, a farmer, and a colonist on a far off world. Every year (not Earth years, Talaam years, I think there's about 4 alien years to an Earth year) you decide your crop rotation, you have to make a profit, feed your family, make sure they get nutrients, make sure your fields are fertile, and make sure you have some time off otherwise you'll miss out on events. It's a fun farming mini-game that is enjoyable and not too hard. Then you can chat with your friends in the colony, and then you'll have 3 scenarios or event: Work, Family, and Community. In work you make decisions about the farm or do things related to the farm, like try and teach your lazy spoiled daughter to do things (if you spoil her like I do!) In Family you have scenarios with your family, maybe your son and daughter are fighting, and you can make decisions. You can spoil your kids, be firm but fair, be strict, or neglectful, and the way you treat your childr...

As I was writing a review for another game, I remembered I meant to review this. Forgive me, I played a while ago and my memory might not be 100%. I was impressed by this game. I found it by looking for "choices matter" as a tag, and tried a few that came up over the space of months or a year. I don't feel many deserve that tag, but this game does. I had at least two playthroughs, and the colony by the end looked a lot different, as well as the friend group and the dynamic of Jack within his community. One time Jack was a bit of a loner, off doing his own thing and minding his own patch, and one he was a lot more involved in all kinds of different things that would be spoilers to talk about too much. The story unfolded organically and interestingly. I like thinking about the ordinary people of an extraordinary future, and if that appeals to you too, then this is a good way to see a great take on farmin' in space. I really enjoyed my time with the colony and the story that it presente...

So I played the *first* game Our Personal Space(FREE), named my characters Corkey and Dewy. This game (2nd game) adopted my names from the previous game save (kudos to the programmers!) This game well surpasses the first in complexity of plot and the choices given. I played through once (though a few of my 20 hrs were AFK). The game was enjoyable, and I feel I reminded/picked up a few lessons on behavior and parenting. Planting crops in the game (This time as the husband at the helm) was a nice change from just stress management for the characters. I would recommend this game. It is slow paced, so I was able to play when I didn't feel great too. I feel it's worth the price, and the character (sprites? cut-outs) were fun and matched well with the mood of the game. Ultimately, I felt I was on Taalam, farming, raising kids and helping with new discoveries!

Charming game for those who enjoyed Our Personal Space. These games have a lot of heart and it shows. Could it be better? Yes. Would I prefer it not exist at all? definitely not. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. This series will always have a very special place in my heart.

A cute little story with lots of branching choices. Chock full of good parenting advice, too. Almost makes me want to have kids of my own. Almost. 4/5 stars.

I bought this right after finishing the first one mostly out of curiosity and I'm glad I did. It felt like the natural next chapter(s) of the story, making the first game almost feel more like an extended prologue. It was a fun little game, I've only played it once but I'm looking forward to playing again to see other outcomes. If you liked the first one you'll love this one as it has more depth and feels a little more fleshed out. That's not a jab at the first one, just to clarify, I really liked that one too but this one felt like it had more work and experience behind it. Overall it was fun and continued the story flawlessly, everything you'd ant a sequel to be.
