SiNKR 3

All three SiNKR games are great. The puzzles strike the sweet spot of being interesting but not frustrating. More than once I found myself replaying an already solved puzzle because I thought, "Wow, that was a neat solution, let's do it again!" Just grab the whole trilogy if you haven't played them already.

[b][h1]SiNKR 3[/h1][/b]SiNKR 3 feels the most distinct from the previous games introducing diagonal movement and nice QoL improvements. It's still challenging and keeping me finding new ways to see levels while keeping it's core mechanics relatively the same. [b][h2]Gameplay[/h2][/b]Introducing diagonal movement may not seem like a huge change but it makes it so that things work in 8 directions rather than 4. The puzzles are just as good as the previous games, once again repeating the same layouts but changing elements to make you find new solutions. I didn't even realise the previous games lacked it but the introduction of multi-step undo's is a positive change allowing you to test interactions without committing fully. [h1]Rating: 7/10 [/h1] More of SiNKR (again). This time the pucks can move in 8 directions instead of 4. It uses basically all of the mechanics from the last two games, not introducing any additional ones. The 8 directions can make the screen look a little messy, but it also adds an extra layer to the puzzles in this one. Multi step undo is also a good feature, and I did use it a fair few times in the later levels. This game was still hard at times, but I do think it's overall easier than the last two, and it's possible some of the later levels have multiple solutions, especially since the last three in particular were all head-scratchingly simple. On the whole when looking back at the series, I do wish that there wasn't an emphasis on timing in some of the puzzles, having to quickly react to some of the moving pucks doesn't feel fitting for a puzzle game like this.
