About This Game

The tank game you've been waiting for

It's a weird time for fans of modern tank combat games. The straight-shooting simulator titles from the turn of the millennium are no more. As tank nerds, we need a game that gets right to the good stuff - modern tanks, realistic system and damage models, and a focus on fun over all.

With Gunner, HEAT, PC! we aim to make that dream a reality.

GHPC will blend game and simulation in just the right amounts, providing awesome fire control and ballistics simulation behind deceptively simple controls. This core feature set serves as the foundation for a rich single player campaign mode, skirmish missions, and (eventually) cooperative multiplayer modes: a satisfying option for every taste. And let's not forget about infantry and support units - tanks weren't built to fight alone. AI-controlled combined arms forces will round out the tactical environment and let armored units shine the way they were meant to.

We're making a great tank game because that's what we want to play.

GHPC features a fictional conflict between NATO and the Warsaw Pact in central Germany circa 1985. Play as armored units from the United States, Soviet Union, German Democratic Republic, and Federal Republic of Germany.

The fact this game is going on 3 YEARS in early access and we haven't seen a major milestone improvement tells me either the devs are not really working on it or already have the money they wanted so they are giving up. You still cant play with friends. After 3 years. The main menu UI looks like its from the 80's. Most missions are brain dead simple. Cant destroy trees or buildings. There's no incentive to keep playing this game... actually I'm just gonna call this a game demo until i see some major improvement. In its current state this is a terrible offline warthunder knockoff. Nothing makes this demo stand out, even Spearhead 2 sets itself apart from all other tank games besides Steel Beasts because they are actually modeling and animating the internals for the m1a2 abrams and at this point I'm more looking forward to that game then this forever demo.

This game is simply not improving. It's taking way too long and nothing is changing, there are upcoming similar games that seem much more interesting and actually fun to play. Don't get me wrong i love the idea of this game but i simply can't recommend it, it's a demo that simply isn't improving. Sad.

Deeply satisfying mechanics. Missions could use some more depth but good lord the bradley is fun. Also my kitten is obsessed with this game and jumps on my desk whenever I play it, so that's fun! Little kitty tank commander getting excited and hitting my keyboard and popping my smoke.

This game is called a simulator because you'll be married, gotten kids and lived your live by the time it will be finished. Another story about questionable development priorities and getting lost in rivet counting while losing the focus on a big picture. By the time of writing (Sept. 2025) the game is now officially on Steam for 3 years. It was in crowd funded development for years prior to that. From the 9 official roadmap milestones we have partially reached 4 by now. Those 4 being the easiest, especially compared to some of the real challenges now coming up. It may very well be that even Star Citizen will be complete before this game. 1) Basic Campaign - kinda done, not extensive but kinda 2) Fire Support - kinda done, not in a realistic / sim way but again, kinda 3) Infantry - also kinda there as a foundation 4) Soviets - kinda there, not complete but basics again 5) Detailed Crew - not done 6) Bundeswehr - not done 7) Enhanced Destruction - good luck 8) Expanded Campaign - go...

The game in overall is kinda cool and interesting, but the optimization is so garbage... Personally, I wouldn't recommend it for full price, that's for sure, but if it were on sale for like 25-50% off, then I would give it a try

Really poor performance. Even on a RTX 4090 im not getting 60 fps on lowest setting. GPU is only pulling 100W and cpu is at 15% usage.
