Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons,...
You're a hero on a quest to save the world from the interdimensional monster known as Zadeus ([Zuh-day-us])! Travel across a randomly-generated world, visit towns, and delve into dungeons. Battle the monsters roaming the land, collect cards, and upgrade your deck. Raise your power level, and defeat Zadeus!
Travel in any direction and explore a randomized map full of towns, dungeons, monsters, bazaars, and other secrets. A free-roaming deckbuilder you can play however you want.
A new player can walk around and grab a lot of cool cards and powerups, and have fun right off the bat. No need for guides or wikis. The mechanics are simple to learn, with an iceberg of underlying depth.
Each enemy is represented by a deck of monster cards. Monsters attack in waves just like a tower defense game, and you must destroy them before they get close enough to attack you. Outlast the enemy's Monster Deck, and you win the battle. Cast huge area-of-effect spells, set up a hoard of Defenders, assemble crazy combos, and plan crazy deck manipulation strategies!
Equip your Defenders with powerful equipment. Play "Level Up" cards which get stronger each time you play them. Play devious "Scheme" cards which are overpowered, but take several turns to cast. And many more interesting mechanics.
Explore the dungeons of the world! In a dungeon you won't recover life, so each dungeon feels like a mini-roguelike in itself. Dungeons offer powerful legendary cards and artifacts as rewards. Nothing feels more satisfying than risking it all to get a sweet legendary, and barely escaping alive!
Not only can you upgrade cards, but you can customize them with buffs you choose at "Bazaars". These buffs range from increasing a card's damage, lowering its cost, or even making one of your minions throw explosive barrels each time it attacks. Get creative and put together some overpowered card monstrosities!
Adapted from the tabletop game Mage Tower, but updated and enhanced with over 400 new cards and monsters to create a huge roguelike adventure!

Tom Vasel from The Dice Tower in his tabletop review: "It's fun, it really is! ... if you play it, you're not gonna get something that you can play a couple times and you're done with. You can try out different combinations and it's really interesting."
You can also discover "Black Market" cards, which have forbidden effects. Get a card that lets you tame any monster card and use it in your own deck. Get a card that gives you access to the spells of the cursed sorcerer Argatamos. Get a card that deals ridiculously overpowered damage, but summons a miniboss. And more!
Just check out these beautiful card frames!

Each run counts towards unlocking new cards, character classes, and upgrades for your hero. <30 hours to beat the game, but many more hours to beat the game with all the classes and unlock everything.
