Who's Lila feels almost Lynchian in a way I can't describe. The visuals definitely contribute to that alongside a chilling story. When this game wants to push the uncanny valley it does, and it does beautifully. It's perfectly chilling and horribly unsettling. The game mechanic of dragging around William's face to make exaggerated expressions starts off as funny before becoming incredibly distressing. A game that has stuck with me for the better, just go in completely blind and thank me later. :)

About This Game
Life’s never been easy for William, but today is special – a girl named Tanya Kennedy suddenly goes missing and the only thing Will's friends know – he was the one to see her last.
Will you remain secretive and make William act as though nothing happened, or will you let true emotions show through his mask?
In Who's Lila, a specifically trained face-recognizing neural network allows you to make this choice! In dialogue, instead of choosing a text option, input facial expressions by moving parts of the character’s face. The neural network will then analyze the emotion and output the result, thus progressing the plot.
Apart from the struggles provided by your own face, you will be met with a gritty dither-punk world of Who’s Lila. Prepare yourself for dream-like landscapes, surreal architecture, steam-filled factory interiors, and David Lynch-inspired beauty of the industrial and the mundane.

Every time you think you're beginning to understand the mysteries of this game it pulls the rug out from under you and reveals that its actually 3 layers deeper than you thought and about 20 moves ahead of you. Play this game.
Very artsy game with a unique, gimmicky mechanic as a creative deviation from traditional dialogue gameplay. It's story driven, but instead of guiding your character via dialogue options, you guide him through the expressions he makes while saying predetermined things. Problem is, your character suffers from alexithymia, and struggles with emotional expression. This makes forming the "appropriate" expression for certain reactions rather difficult at times, and being that the story revolves around a murder mystery, one of the core objectives is not accidentally implicating yourself with these expressions (or do on purpose, for one of the many endings!) It can be goofy at first, but it becomes very unsettling and thrilling very quick. It's really impressive!
Agonizingly underrated. Phenomenal, unique, and wildly original psychological horror experience. Perhaps too weird to become the cult classic it deserves to be. Loads of surprises here.
Play this. Just play this. And whatever you do, don't look up anything. Play it blind and finish it blind.
relatable
Probably the best story game I've ever played in my entire life, it even made me cry after seeing everything it has to offer, please play this game if you ever get the chance.
nice idea, but the execution leaves quite a bit to be desired. It gets very old very fast.
Having unlocked more than half of the endings , The game as a concept is great and the given time you have to interact with it is great. My only real complaint is that its a really short story and the side charachters, aside from one or two, leave much to be desired. Overall, If you like games which indulge in the matters of philosophy and breaking the 4th wall ,you will really like this game.If not , this game doesnt really offer that much aside from that.
It's a strange game. I can't quite explain this game to you but there is a video I advise you to watch if you're still interested in after finishing the game: https://youtube.com/watch?v=TiH2SjjowKw&t=7s&pp=2AEHkAIB
