To start off, I came into this thinking that this was an RTS as the game description as of now reads: "Dungeon Overseer fills a void in that super fun RTS genre. Don the crown and pursue glory by building a unique dungeon layout, constructing your lair, upgrading and expanding, questing, crafting, researching, recruiting, defending your base, and raiding." This sounds like other dungeon games where you make minions, traps, raid towns ect. This is NOT the case with this game. There are no traps at all at the current time and the minions you can make you cannot control other than to send them on a raid. When your dungeon gets raided you cannot tell them to target one enemy and they will randomly target enemy units (even when one is near death they will target full health ones). When your minions (drones) harvest resources they leave it on the floor and the game makes you click on each resource stack to let the drone know it needs to be put in your treasury (not sure why other than th...

As of right now I can't recommend the game just due to the shear amount of bugs in what looks to be a very early alpha stage of release. That said the game play for me was a 4 step cycle: 1.) Build something 2.) Hire Minion 3.) Get attacked, watch minion not fight and die, lose resources 4.) Repeat 1 or 2 until 3 happens. While I would like to hold on to it, I really can't justify it as at the core it is an idle clicker game, something you might play on a phone or tablet when you have some free time, but nothing else. In no way is it a RTS or anything like an RTS. I wish this was made far more clear in their description as I wouldn't have purchased it.
Promising early access, inspired by the Dungeon Overlord Browsergame. Currently there are very few features and mechanics, but my hopes are high the devs have enough ideas and skill to improve the game. 6 Months until 1.0 release is VERY ambitious considering the current state of the game. I just hope they will implement more mechanics to: - AI - Raiding (Overworld) - Mining - Minions (Skills) - Multiplayer - Stability of the game
buggy game, lack of communication from the game makers aswell on the forums, many post being ignored. Don't waste your money on this.
