I downloaded the DEMO (highly recommended you do as well) and enjoyed it immensely. Deep game inspired by Slay the Spire and the like. Has more options and pathways. Lots of cool mini-games. Love the hex combat. Battles have been tough so far just starting out. Price is fair. Seemed to be made with love and attention to detail. Tons of replay value and unlocks. No stress with card management, items, or relics.

I DARE!!! Any other game for $10.00 to be BETTER than this one. Stolen Crown. The Demo SPEAK for IT SELF! Try it and see. : ) In all honesty ... I see myself playing this game longer then any other game I ever owned. Sandbox mode gives ENDLESS game replay value. I see no way you could make this a BETTER game. To me this is a LANDMARK GAME. Because of the endless replay value of Sandbox, I can not think of ANY OTHER GAME like this one at any price. I am speechless.
A fun deck-builder roguelite that's no pushover. The battle and runs require actual strategy and there's plenty of variations in builds per each character which makes it fun to run over and over. The card art is lovely and the music is very atmospheric throughout. If you like mindless click-to-win games then give this a pass, but if you're into strategic card battlers with creative builds and infinite replay value, it's an absolute must.
Fantastic indie gem. This one is small but beautifully formed. The quick version is that it combines: 1. Deck building to equip heroes with potential actions, similar to Trials of Fire and Alina of the Arena 2. Roguelike runs, where you choose between different types of event (combat, boss combat, merchant, dungeon, workshop etc) similar to many card-battling roguelikes / Slay the Spire-likes 3. Turn-based, hex based tactical combat, with direct control over your main character and potentially, one or more allies. The combat is similar to Crowntakers, Faeria and Alina of the Arena. Each of the three main ingredients is solid and enjoyable and they form up together very well for a compelling 'one more stage' 'one more run' experience. The combat is the star. You start out with just a single hero and potentially one ally. Heroes have both abilities, which run on cooldowns, and also cards. Allies only have abilities. As you complete stages, you can: ~ Add more abilities to your H...
Don't let the simplistic graphics fool you; the gameplay loop is extremely fun and challenging. So many roguelike/lite deckbuilders could learn from how cleanly this game gets you into a new run, mixes in some rng, and keeping you hungry for what's next. It's the kind of game where you keep wanting "one more". Very different games, but I'd compare that play-time fun-to-grind efficiency to "Monster Train", which is very high praise. I mean efficiency as opposed to the long haul, somewhat tedius grinds that can be found in otherwise good games of this genre. Worth the price, absolutely.
I'm a big fan of deck builder games like Slay the Spire and Monster Train. I love what the developer did here adding in the turn-based strategy elements to that formula. Fun game, definitely recommend!
Deck builders are all the rage, and this game? THIS GAME RIGHT HERE?! It gives me no rage, just smiles. I build decks with cool cards and I don't have to deal with the body odor that comes along with visiting my IRL gaming store. I get to play mini games just like at the fair, but I don't have to deal with carnival barkers laughing at my and telling me how ugly I am. I can travel a world filled with mystery and lore without having to travel the actual world and deal with cultures that don't have chicken nuggets for me to eat. Stolen Crown is the video game version of chicken nuggets, everyone I've talked to loves it, and those who don't are probably lizard people from Australia (yeah we know your secrets Aussies, the world is onto you). Buy this game and enjoy life. Also I bet the developer has a really big schlong.
This game is not my usual genre, but thought I would give it a try. Although I have some learning to do, I am impressed with the story line. The graphics are well done, and the game draws you in. I will be on a quest to get through this one!
Deck builders seem to be a dime a dozen these days thanks to Slay the Spire, and it can be hard to sift through them all to find the good ones. Thankfully, Stolen Crown is one of those good ones. Additionally to being a deck builder, it also offers a 3D battlemap for each fight, making it a tactics game in addition to a deck builder. Fans of Slay the Spire, as well as games like Wargroove and Fire Emblem, will appreciate the tactics mechanics that have been implemented in this game which make it unique. Definitely give it a try.
A great take on the deck building game that adds a lot of depth in strategy. Stolen Crown really rewards playing smart and taking advantage of what you're given more so than other similar games that reward getting lucky and only selecting the "strongest" cards. Would highly reccomend.
