Make 'em sweat!

READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE EARLY ACCESS
************************************************************
Warning: This game is focused on the PvP multiplayer experience only. Solo play is in alpha and NOT currently recommended. PLEASE read through our materials in the discussions including "What to Expect From Early Access". You can also watch our casual walk-through on YouTube (and above) with the Dev and remember that this is an EARLY ACCESS game. If you are interested in getting in early and helping with feedback about a multiplayer VR boxing game then this is for you! Join our Discord and make sure you have some friends to play with because finding unscheduled PvP matches is still sporadic as our player base grows.

BE AWARE BEFORE BUYING:

- NO THUMBSTICK CONTROLS - this is intentional. Use your body to move around your space, to dodge, weave, etc.

- THE SINGLE PLAYER MODE IS UNDERDEVELOPED - we've focused almost ENTIRELY on PvP thus far. So please don't buy this game in Early Access if you just want to test yourself against the AI/Bots - you WILL be disappointed. Bot polishing is ongoing but secondary to the PvP experience.

- MULTIPLAYER WORKS WELL AND IS NEARING COMPLETION - but finding random players is unlikely at this point. Bring in friends to play with / join a community of fighters online, or it's unlikely you'll find PvP matches yet. A match scheduling system is now available, and crossplay is coming soon.

Finally, if you are purchasing this because you expect the feel of a boxing game that has many YEARS in development then please PASS for now. This game is less than EIGHTEEN MONTHS through development (with one dev). If you're joining us for Early Access, expect ROUGH, but please don't hold that against us in your reviews at this point - we have gone to great lengths to warn you. We're building this game because we love boxing and PvP, and we are learning as we go.

*NOTE that a dedicated Oculus/Meta/Quest2 version is now available in AppLab. Search "Era of Combat Boxing" or see our Discord for a link. Crossplay features between AppLab and this Steam version are also now available.

Use the solo training exercises, take on the AI, or jump right into what EOC Boxing was designed to do and challenge your friends to three different match types including exhibition, amateur or professional ranked fights where your reputation, stats, virtual cash, and boxer’s title is on the line.

EOC is a physically demanding game that will push you to improve your cardio and your core. But you'll need some space to add this energetic workout to your routine. Make sure you have at least 1.5m by 2m of unobstructed space to swing and then tell your family members to stand back - WAY back. Or better yet, pick up another headset and challenge them to a no-impact, no-holds-barred grudge match to prove your unconditional supremacy! (separate VR rooms highly recommended)

We want to stress once more that EOC is currently Early Access and we are looking for your feedback, so if you love boxing and don't mind giving us a glove (er hand), we're all ears about how we can make this game the best that it can possibly be.

What’s coming up in the very near future? We’re glad you asked! Greater player customization, multiple avatars of gender and race, server moderated multiplayer cash, careers, and titles. A large expansion of the single player mode (we started with multiplayer in mind and need some AI polish during Early Access to give you the solo challenge you deserve). We'll be launching a number of AI opponents to make you sweat on your way to the top in upcoming free content upgrades as we move toward completing our Early Access roadmap. You’ll progress through different venues and earn your place in the hall of champions.

EOC Boxing was designed from the ground up to support multiplayer VR and we want to ensure that EOC strives for realism while striking the balance in playability. We trust that Early Access already offers players a stable and challenging multiplayer experience that is above all else, entertaining.

6/11/22 Tried another multiplayer match. I noticed not much has been changed. End of fight review shows my punch count very low; maybe a third of what i actually thrown in each round. Again, it feels like for some reason on my VIVE INDEX it is not registering my punches. The opponent punch count is always higher, i see them throwing the punches most of the time, and i know for sure they arent throwing more than me, we are at best roughly averaging the same ballpark, but mine is always showing a third of theirs. I am usually always throwing 2 to 3 punch combos. I fight vary depending on intensity of the round, but if am averaging 200 each round in TOTF (can be more im not sure, havent kept track of those numbers in a while on that game, only time i play that now is to beat money on unfair mode so i look only at the round score), why would this be any different? I dont fight differently between each game, it just feels alot more awkward in this game because most hits i throw i have no ...

Game needs alot of work, but to charge 20 for a game this unfinished, when you can get the best boxing game out for 10 bucks in thrill of the fight, id pass on this. I bought it for the multiplayer, played a match, and it didn't even feel like i was able to connect a punch on my opponent. Its like he has a force field around his body. On top of that if you do connect, you wouldn't know because unlike TOTF, there's no controller vibration or sound to tell when you connect. Like I said, to charge 20 bucks, to not even get the basic functions, a game made originally by one man was able to incorporate into his game for 10 bucks, not worth it. Got my refund, gave it two weeks, but the dev doesn't seem to be updating and fixing the problems i mentioned anytime soon, and i don't like to waste money. Do whatever you feel like but I wouldnt recommend this one, ill just wait for TOFT2...

This game is not polished at all right now for the amount of money it charges you. and yes devs have warned us about this being rough, but that's not the sole reason for my review. The combat feel is definitely akin to TOTF but the actual experience is very subpar. My most frustration in EoC came from the body shoots, they are extremely underwhelming and frustrating even when it connects- there is no visible damage being perceived. And there is no locomotion in the game means people with smaller playing spaces can never be able to enjoy this game. so if you don't have a giant VR space, just let this one go. People can also walk into each other (which can be intentionally abused the wrong way), and it is easy to walk into each other when both fighters are stepping forward to jab or cross. Similar games such as Creed and VFC did well in this regard by having collision mechanics to stop players from clipping into each other. Anyways, this game is an attempt to mimic TOTF's combat feel...

Best VR multiplayer boxing game on the market. PvP is smooth, you can't spam punch or abuse some locomotion system, definitely puts creed and VFC to shame in terms of realism. PLEASE keep in mind, game is early access. Mostly focused on only multiplayer, many features are in the works but not fully implemented. If you want to fight people online and have a real boxing match, buy this!!

The online PVP VR boxing market has not been tapped and this game is capitalizing on it! PROS No punch spamming (You have to be precise landing punches orienting your knuckles correctly to do actual damage.) No Skiing (Bye bye skiing locomotion that plagued Creed allowing players to zip around the ring.) Observers (Although not released just yet, but this added feature will soon make it land on many tournament leagues.) CONS EARLY ACCESS (This game will have its flaws, but the developers are fully active in listening to the community and pushing out updates.) Join the official discord to find players to fight against. You will no doubt enjoy this game if you've been looking for a more realistic competitive 1v1 fighting game.

im really dissapointed. i stupidly thought his game would be up to standard but its evident that we are still about 5 years too early for playing a realistic fun and popular game. nobody is online so cant play any matches anyway so just playing against ai and it just feels terrible. until they can actually put 'fight night' into a vr game its just wasting money in my opinion.

Just grabbed the early access and played a few games with someone from the discord channel. Solid PvP boxing. Blocking feels accurate, can punch around guards, real locomotion only. It's exactly what I would expect from PvP VR boxing and can't wait for them to keep improving the game!

BIG VR BOXING GUY, If you're looking for PvP boxing, realism, and intensity stop right here and make your purchase! My first fight and it was clear this is the future of VR boxing atleast until we see the Thrill of the Fight team with their next release. The developer is a martial artist, who has created this project out of passion and to offer the pvp boxing experience we all long for! He said Thrill of the Fight was a major inspiration for him to come into the scene and improve upon the foundation of other titles. As of now the game is constantly seeing updates, and dev's have been as active as the rest of us in the community! This is a game thats rapidly evolving and full of passion! Get in the discord i need EASIER PEOPLE TO FIGHT HAHAHAH I KEEP GETTING REALLY GOOD FIGHTERS WHOOPIN ME By the way my mouth tasted like pennies from the blood... I love this game... and i go dummy hard without even realizing it! 41 hours of VR boxing immersion is a life changer, buy this and get ...
