Played for a few minutes and sadly I already have to give thumb down: Imagine: You played the game and fought some enemies. You defeated them, but you lost some health in the process. You do not find another save point, so you return to the last one, before you have to quit the game due to work or whatever your obligations are. Now, after some time you want to play further. You load your last save file. You are back at the save point. The enemies, you already lost health to, are also back. But your Health Bar stayed the same. So you have to fight the same enemies, you already lost health to, again, but with even lower health. And then hope to find the next save point, or you have to do it again, but probably with even less health to begin with.

Played for about an hour so far, and I'm digging it. It's a Metroidvania game with a strong 1001 Arabian Nights theme, which it nails nicely. The graphics are cool with a whole hand painted look, and the gameplay feels just right for a Metroidvania – good exploration and puzzles that make you think a bit. I really like how the Arabian Nights theme is woven into everything, making the game stand out. The mix of traditional Metroidvania elements with this unique setting works well. And love the intro song, gave me big Spacetoon anime songs vibe!

First off, the story seemed interesting and I would like to at least give this another shot, however a lot of things with the gameplay leave much to be desired. The major issues I had with this game was the lack of information (stats, abilities, where to go, etc.). The combat is very simplistic, but there's nothing wrong with that. The exploration, is just abysmal. The game discourages exploration by blocking you from using exits and railroading you to where they want you to go. This isn't a problem due to the nature of metroidvania games, but other games will block exits or items by placing them out of reach until you get a specific ability, but here in this game they decided that even though you can reach these exits with the starting abilities, they'll block the exit by giving you a prompt saying that there is no reason to go through this exit (or something to that degree). So you pretty much get forced to give up exploring every available exit. Add in the fact that the gam...

I originally was asked to give feedback and cover this game on stream, and I was offered a key for it, the game was janky and didn't work properly but it was in early access, I gave my feedback in private to the developers, but it seems like not only the issues with combat, map movement and etc were not fixed, but they also clawed back my original key. The combat feels weird and unresponsive, sometimes after loading your character is glitched and you cannot attack at all, enemies sometimes don't respect invincibility frames, map is confusing and convoluted, in short the game mechanically is a mess. On the positive side, the game has decent graphics, has a different theme than most games and the majority of it is voice acted, that being said I cannot recommend the game by itself, especially due to how the company handles their business. I played this game for around 5-6 hours before release, but the time will now show here as 5 minutes is the minimum required time to leave a review, ...
