Tumblr: The Game. Unless you're into Tumblr aesthetic the game's attempts at remaining interesting will fall flat. The characters are so quirky they're annoying. The moment you meet them they immediately tell you what they're about and every subsequent interaction ends up being exactly like the first. The strong dumb doofus remains the strong dumb doofus, the humorless adult remains the humorless adult, the easily excited defensive child remains the easily excited defensive child. None of the characters seem to have secondary focuses or any depths to their personalities. Half an hour into the game I could predict how pretty much any interaction between the gang would go and all of it so far was horrible. The attempts at humor are awful. The game encourages you to explore rooms and check every nook and cranny for items or fun interations. If you're not careful however, you'll stumble on a horrendously quirky sequence about the ethics of eating crab and how they apply broadly to culin...

About This Game
In Stars and Time tells the story of Siffrin and their adventurer friends—a found family bound together by fate in order to end the tyrannical reign of an evil king. But as victory is just within the party’s grasp, a tragedy occurs, the clock resets, and they have to do it all again.
As Siffrin’s the only one who notices this loop, each new start wears away at his cheerful veneer, yet he keeps going in hopes he can end this temporal tragedy once and for all.
In Stars and Time is a time-looping RPG adventure. With each loop, Siffrin gains a new perspective on the world around them, opening up new solutions to puzzles and allowing them to make better choices in conversation. Equip memories as armor, pray to the Change God to improve your team’s capabilities each loop, and challenge deadly foes to Rock, Paper, Scissors as Siffrin seeks the truth.
✦ Our Adventurers
- Siffrin (he/they): Stressed, depressed, and under duress. (Don’t worry about it. They’re doing fine.) The punmaster protagonist of our neverending tale.
- Mirabelle (she/her): A caring and nervous housemaiden mysteriously blessed by the god she so ardently follows.
- Isabeau (he/him): Defender with a heart of gold. Cares dearly for his people and his friends.
- Odile (she/her): The mature and nonsensical researcher studying…something. (No, she will not tell you what it is.)
- Bonnie (they/them): Wait a minute, who brought this kid along???
✦ Features
- Save the world through the power of Rock, Paper, Scissors in strategic turn-based RPG combat encounters.
- Ignore the limits of time and space to fix your past mistakes by repeating the same two days over and over again.
- Equip the memories you have of your friends to make your party stronger in combat.
- Watch the fate of this world unfold as you escape the twists and turns of this endless(???) loop.
- Eat samossas with your friends!
- Get heckled by a cheeky ethereal being of infinite starlight.
- Pray to a god for good luck in your travels. You’re gonna need it.

I initially bought this game expecting a much shorter, much simpler experience, the usual indie RPG that doesn't do much out of the ordinary and whose main gimmick would be rushed and end up feeling disappointing, but I was pleasantly surprised that the game kept throwing new things at me when I figured I was finally done with it. If you don't want to be spoiled, this may be as far as you want to read. I'm not gonna completely spoil the ending but I will talk about some of the latter parts of the game freely, to address both the pros and cons of my overall experience. The game definitely has some rough edges, and I'll start with those since I still think the positives outweigh the negatives so I wanna get the latter out of the way first. How I usually approach games is trying to exhaust as much content as possible on my first playthrough, and I quickly figured out that if I wanted to find out new things that didn't progress the main story but did give me new tidbits of info or lore, I...
Played the game for an hour, want to sleep, came back to it later at like 10 and little did i know it was 6 in the morning and i had to go to work... 10/10 one of the best story games I've ever played, the ending had me bawling, the characters were really likable and I LOVE time manipulation type story's.
I legitimately have no idea how to word this PLAY THIS GAME PLEASE! Amazing story, amazing artwork, unique ideas. This shit is GOLD and I am ASHAMED I didn't beat it earlier!
You need to be very bitter to not like this game. You can see how much love has been put into it.
This game was written for a child. It's so boring and corny that the endless and pointless dialogue is excruciating. The story is ok and I like the loop idea but IDK man...
Genuinely peak, I've made Siffrin my entire personality after playing this. i love gay people For real though, I went into this completely blind (I didn't even read the steam page, had no idea it was about time loops) and it's story, world, and characters just sucked me in to the point where I was completely losing track of time. I played this game over the course of 2 days and wracked up almost 30 hours. Maybe it was playing for 15 hours straight a day, but I genuinely felt like I was going insane right alongside our MC. Siffrin's internal monologue mimicked my own to an almost scary degree at times. 11/10 would go crazy again
Update: I'd also like to add the community surrounding this game is toxic af and not open to criticism. Scripted death right in the beginning of the game, no way to avoid, no way to remove the 'achievement' stain from your play history when it happens And the game dev and their crony community call this 'a pivotal part of gameplay mechanics' and not what it actually is, a direct, coded betrayal of player trust. Why should I bother investing any further time in this title when the dev just seems comfortable arbitrarily killing you whenever with no recourse to fit their childish metaexamination of savegame mechanics? Life is too short to be a script kiddie's emotional punching bag. Even worse I have no idea how many more 'omg you died teehee' little moments and 'achievements' they've created to litter my profile with unerasable proof of failure. But since the art is pretty and it's about friends, everyone will just ignore how emotionally abusive insertdisc5 is and how casually ...
I basically did nothing but eat, sleep, and play this game for the past 2 days, and I don't regret a second of it. In Stars and Time takes full advantage of the fact that it's a video game to tell a really compelling time loop story. I loved spending time with these characters and learning more about this world. This is definitely a story that will stick with me for a while.
If there's a Loop body pillow I will crawl through 9 miles of shattered glass to obtain it
