Surmount: A Mountain Climbing Adventure

I hope to write a longer review for when I have gotten further into the game, but for now, it blows my mind that a game with this much charm and polish is sitting at only 100 reviews. Ideal to play alone or with a buddy, Surmount scratched the itch of a climbing game that I needed desperately after PEAK- but it's so much different, with its own style and identity that I found utterly endearing. After decking out my little guy in the finest of garb, I hit the mountain and had a blast of a time. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive game to sink some hours into- and if any of my friends are reading this, you're now obligated to play it with me. Yes, yes you are.

Absolute Blast to play with a friend. I love the difficulty and how interesting the maps can be for this game. The pre-made levels are deliberate and fun, intentionally getting you to do things you would not think of later. The generated maps are also sick even during sections were things were considered "impossible" my friend and I found a way. Also there were so many bugs, but in my experience, it added to the fun of the game. Sent me flying at one point. Worth every penny, ESPECIALLY on sale.

I found this game enjoyable for those who want something that is not to intensly story driven and complex to play. The game is simple get to the top. I like that there is some story but I have been so busy lately that I have had not time or patience to invest in a story driven intesnse game such as RD2, Elderscrolls, Fallout or Psychonauts. I wanted something that I can complete one level under 15min and put down and come back some time later.
