Nothing too unique, but a well-executed horror experience. Madison was a great experience, the story is something that is rinsed and repeated a lot within the horror genre with demons, possession, rituals, etc, but to see it be done at this quality in a video game is refreshing and honestly may be the best option when wanting to play a game like this. The game is scary for sure, good atmosphere, but the jumpscares do kinda get old at some points, usually just playing loud noises while Madison spazez towards you, which does get me, but still just feels kinda cheap. However, the game looks great and the puzzles are creative while also not being too difficult, so you're never stuck for too long on a sequence. Overall, a great experience that always keeps you tense and in a state of stress, so what's not to love?... And remember, Blue Knees is real.

I finished my first playthrough, and I think this game is fantastic. The setting, visuals, and storyline felt really immersive. What I liked most about this game was the atmosphere and immersion. The game, in and of itself, looks modern and performs very well. The eerie music helps make it more terrifying, and the ultrawide (21:9) support is a huge plus. That said, I do have a few critiques worth mentioning. One of the core mechanics of this game is the photo mechanic, where you click pictures of particular objects to progress. However, this isn't clearly explained early on (or I may have missed it). For the first 30 minutes, I was stuck, unsure of what to do. Once I figured out the mechanics, it became more intuitive. However, a brief introduction to the camera, perhaps in the form of a tutorial or text, would make things smoother for new players. There's also a lot of walking involved in this game, and if it's your first playthrough, you'll find yourself walking back and forth. Eve...

I LOVE this game. Great for horror fans, it was creepy, unsettling, challenging and a lot of fun. Adding the camera in paranormal games in always fun. The first person perspective really lends to the horror in this game. The story keeps you wanting to find out more and more. I was never bored, nothing was repetitive. Better experienced with headphones (as most horror games are). I would definitely play this again.

I am absolutely dumbfounded by the amount of people positively reviewing this game, and can only assume it's the only horror game they have ever played. My 10 year old watched me play it, and he started to get bored. If that doesn't tell you enough, I don't know what will. The voice acting is whiny and horrendous and made me immediately hate the character. The gross overuse of creaking floorboards and doors opening in an attempt to make for a creepy environment got old 15 minutes in. You're given absolutely no direction in where to go or how to do it. I spent three hours on the verge of boredom, attempting to swallow my frustration in the hopes that the game would actually get scary in any way. This game is 90% terrible Resident Evil puzzles that have been redone by a 4th grader, with a vaguely creepy three seconds sprinkled in every half hour. I am legit losing sleep over the fact that this game is $35. I have played $3.99 games that were only two hours long in their entirety that are...
