About This Game

LOOPS + MOMENTUM. The game is the result of a design exploration that follows this basic rule and tries to create as many interesting situations as possible, all other elements follow that same base and create a unique and elegant experience for the player.

ITL is about manipulating momentum to traverse levels. You can play it casually in the Zen Mode (no timers and no scores) or try to complete the levels as fast as possible and beat your best time.

Besides all the 100+ hand-crafted levels, you can explore the Endless Mode with procedurally generated levels for infinite hours of play.

No hold-hands annoying tutorials, no locks, no powerups, nothing artificially gating your progress, just start a level and find the best pathway to the portal.

What Into the Loop Offers

  • Unique momentum-based platformer
  • Engaging mechanics
  • High replay value
  • Strawberries for an extra challenge (catch them all for bragging rights)

What Into the Loop does NOT offer

  • Violence
  • Guns
  • Lootboxes
  • Multiplayer
  • Microtransactions
  • A helpless princess to be saved

I created the first version of Into The Loop for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam.
The game was made in 48 hours having the theme "Stuck in a loop".
After receiving very positive feedback from the community and ranking 11th place in the jam, I decided to expand it and give it a try on Steam.
One year has passed and here we are...
This is my first commercial project and would be AWESOME if you give it a try. :)
Thanks!

So about 10 minutes in, while i know isn't much time, i can tell. this is gonna be like one of those games that is fun to watch almost like asmr, its a feel good or when you're bored play this game. because its not action pact. its a chill, cool down game. my computer is a living toaster so it lags on it, but if i had a good PC i could play this way easier, though i dont think it needs a "lower" graphics setting. but after talking with the creator about the hand made levels and the endless mode, i think its safe to say that we can expect a lot from this game. so All in All i would say, really good job! Also the strawberries sprite is from celeste, which was answered by the creator

A rather short, but incredibly charming, minimalist 2D platformer. A game that scratches that itch in my brain for simple, but challenging mechanics, with tight precision. Like I said before though, the game is short, having little under 120 levels. This is only slightly remedy'd with Endless, and Speedrun mode if you're into that sorta thing. Overall however, it's a good game made by one fella. The price is definitely worth it.

Grabbed this for $4.00 on sale and the amount of content I got was WELL WORTH that and more. Simple ideas evolve into complex problems and this game will keep you hooked until the end. The design work is very well done, sounds are minimal but fit everywhere you find them, visuals are simplistic but stylized and never get in the way or feel lacking. Would definitely recommend.

Quite challenging and addicting but also gets repetitive. It would be really good if it had cloud save and leaderboards for best times on each level (if there's any I haven't found it); that's a key feature for people like me who do put effort on clearing each level as quickly as possible. Having the timer but not being able to compare your score to others feels pretty incomplete. All that said, I guess it's kind of amusing for its price if you're into that type of game and get it on sale.
