Once Upon a Jester

Randomly found the game on steam, surprised at how much I really enjoyed it. It's fun and really enjoyable, really LOVE the songs, they are awesome. (Also love my boy Hofnar). It's silly and low stakes with cute interactions. Definitely would recommend especially as chiller, low stress game.

Such a cute game! My inner theatre kid heart got a kick out of the improv performances, interacting with all the characters, and collecting all the stickers to use for the posters. The musical performances are catchy and the voice acting felt well done! All in all I loved this one.

I got this game from Amazon Prime and have beaten it there but seeing the current low price, I decided to buy it here just to write the review. Which I guess is already a recommendation. Short version is: this game is amazing and deserves more recognition. Longer version: The game is funny, whimsical, and cozy, the voiceover is full of soul, unlike any other I have heard. Graphics, as everyone can see are styled and very fitting for this game. Gameplay loop is fun and doesn't get repetitive over (relatively short) duration of the game, if anything I could play more of it(and probably will).

Plenty of lighthearted fun. Despite having a lot of recurring gameplay (basically on-stage timed events), the pacing kept it being very enjoyable. The characters are a nice balance between silly passers-by, who mainly exist to deliver one or two giggles, and people who'll make you want to see towards what end the story leads. Really appreciate this kind of short and sweet games.
