About This Game

After passing out in the woods near your camping site you hear a loud rumbling and the sound of falling rocks. Returning to your tent you see it has been crushed.

In 7th Chance you will explore a twisted version of our own reality where you are confronted with the demons of your past and present.

The game is a linear story-based game designed to be played in one sitting and will take 15mins (one ending) to 30mins (complete story + achievements).

Each choice should not be taken lightly, as they will affect the outcome and if the world decides to offer punishment or salvation.

Hey, I'm Andrew from DrewidGames. After years of working on projects far too big that went nowhere, I decided to focus my efforts on making a solo indie adventure game. I hope you enjoy it!

Sometimes, less is more. This is a short game about choices and the impact they have on our life and our state of mind. When we are given a 'second chance,' it often causes us to look back and perhaps do things differently going forward. This is a relaxing journey in a nicely done landscape with soft music. It takes a couple of runs through to see the impact of alternate choices and a single run can be completed in about a half hour. I enjoyed 7th Chance and it was a nice (albeit brief) respite from the chaos of my day! I hope to see more from this developer in the future...

Takes ten minutes to play through this "exploration adventure game", but that description is misleading. There is one room with some objects - spread intentionally far apart requiring a few minutes to reach each one. Clicking on them provides a Steam Achievement. You listen to some no-cost, Creative Commons licensed music, while you look at the very simple, no-cost, Unity Engine terrain assets. This same type of experience could have easily been found on the itch.io website of prototype games, as a student's learning exercise. Now while I understand new solo developers have got to start somewhere, I bought this game, although inexpensive, based on the positive steam reviews. I feel compelled to leave my own, contradictory opinion.

7th Chance managed to keep me engaged and entertained but it did leave me wanting more and not in a good way. The game has an interesting premise that after waking to your tent crushed and you needing to find help you come across your house where it shouldn’t be and then explore the surrounding area. You find a variety of objects and can make a choice on what to do with them. Once you complete all that you find out your fate. The objects are meant to point to past events in your life and how they influenced your present. It’s a great concept but for some of them they lack context. For instance I can either take money or burn it. Without knowing the story of the money why on Earth would I burn it ? The default assumption is that it is somehow “dirty” money but with no context to go on that’s just an assumption. If you find random piles of money on the street would you burn it ? Getting past that I would say that I liked how the game handled things in a subtle manner. You can f...

This is an extremely short walking simulator, with a nice vibe, colors all over and cool ambient music. The graphics remind heavily of The First Tree (if you haven't played that, you're missing out). It was half an hour pleasantly spent, but it's just that: Half an hour, during which I got both endings. The duration is too short and the story too superficial to justify an actual price for this game, which feels more like a demo/teaser than a real game. Although I do commend the dev for his effort, this should definitely be a free game. There are lots of other free games around that are way longer and more complex than this one. So I'm sorry, but I can't recommend this at any price above $0.50.

DO NOT BUY THIS! Wow what an absolute disappointment, I cant believe this developer is selling this as a "game". I remember wishlisting this cause the premise seemed intriguing.....but let me tell you what you getting instead of a game. If you look at a screenshot or the trailer in the Steam page... you seen the whole game already! (the fact that its only 300mb should had been a big clue) The whole thing is literally just the same boring and repetitive textures, literally just a barren landscape that you walk around at a snail`s pace (and I still finished it in less than 15 minutes!), the entire game, is that you walk from the beginning to a center hub area, then you go on a circle interacting with 7 items, either left or right, then you go to the center and the game ends with a short sentence... THATS IT! I guess you could replay it (and you really must be absolutely bored to want to do so) and see what sentence you get if you chose the other item. Btw you can see where the plot is ...

Lovely little game. It is a short walking simulator with two endings, one playthrough is around 15 minutes. Nice atmospheric visuals and pleasant music. Easy achievemts (there is a guide and good playthroughs in the discussions).

I liked this: easy on the eyes, really nice music, pretty obvious what you have to do...a short, sweet experience. I just feel a bit sad about the story and wonder if it's based on the Dev's personal experience...if so, gosh, hang in there!

An.... overly-simplified approach to a very complex, and dark topic. Pros: * Beautiful music. * Good example of minimalist game design. Cons: * The vices displayed here are... not as simple as the game implies. Neither in source, nor in obtaining a lasting resolution. * eg: A choice between a wife's picture or naughty (pixelated) photos. Maybe there was a reason the wife wasn't a good match? Not that she was a bad person, but she had very different needs from the main character. * eg: "Nope, not being an alcoholic anymore!" - from personal experience, it's never that simple. * eg: "Keep the dirty money or burn it" - um, maybe use it to fix whatever the fallout was on that dirty deal? ...and so on. Meh: * Short - only ~15 min per playthrough, for each of the two endings - but only $2. TL;DR: I applaud the author's desire to broach a difficult topic, but this was too naive a take on the subject matter to be worth playing.

What a lovely walking simulator, i enjoyed every minute of it. Buy it you love walking Sims. The game is short about 15 minutes but there is a positive and negative ending depending on the choices you make on each of the 7 fire sites. Pros: - Price - Story - Art - Choices Matter - Loved the Music Cons: - Short - Simple (no running or jumping) Spoilers don't watch it in full https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUSs0tZ-Clc
