I got suckered in by the "-90% off" at first. Don't be fooled; do your research on this one. This is the first time I've reviewed a game without giving the gameplay a fair shot, but here goes: I installed this just to leave a review to tell IOI to go !@#$ themselves for this game's egregious monetization. !@#$ you for making me think I was actually buying most of the game when I guess I just got part ($30 for an inferior version of the game and they want $70 MORE for the full game), !@#$ you for not making it EVEN CLEARER and easy for people to buy/gift and play your game, and more importantly !@#$ you for splitting this into 4 versions plus 13 DLC (half are hidden/buried) plus Deluxe Pack purchases, and most importantly !@#$ you for not listening to your community and making this scummy !@#$ right. 10/10 game, motivated me to assassinate my geography teacher

The base game is fine but rest are admittedly questionable, I thoroughly ONLY recommend the standard edition and nothing else, not a single dlc no nothing. tip: add -skip_launcher at the game's launch setting. Launching the game through the launcher as of 2025 just crashes it tip #2: just buy the standard edition, most of the deluxe pack or extra missions have mostly negative rating anyways, also the extra missions on the dlc are in arcade mode. Unfortunately I have purchased them, Arcade mode is this, you have to replay the mission twice the catch is there are modifiers to change the way you play on said mission and here's a special package, you can only play the arcade missions once per 24hr that is right once per day, this means arcade mode is not fun and I honestly just wasted my money, that's what I get for not reading the dlc description, so yeah do just buy the standard edition and DO NOT pay for anything else, the quality honestly drop I have no idea what io is fucking think...

Hitman is a really fun and creative stealth game. Each mission can be completed in so many different ways — from super professional silent kills to totally ridiculous setups. The maps are big and detailed, and there’s a ton of content since it includes all three games in one. The only downside is that some features require you to be online, which can be annoying. But overall, if you like experimenting and sneaking around, it’s definitely worth playing.

So just a heads up, the store page is kind of confusing: if you want a paid demo, you can buy Part One, but if you want the full game, you gotta buy HITMAN World of Assassination or Deluxe Edition. Now my thoughts on this game boil down to the fact that it requires an always online connection, and if the online features of Absolution are anything to go by (they no longer work because the servers were shut down) then I can never in a million years recommend this game, because it will inevitably one day be shut down and no longer work as intended. Could ioi release a patch that allows for offline progression? Sure, but they haven't so far, and might not ever do so. There's no guarantee this game will work as advertised long into the future... Do with that what you will.

The worst monetization scheme of any game I've ever played. Almost impressive how convoluted it is. I can only assume it's to frustrate people into just buying the most expensive edition because it's so unclear to what you actually are paying for otherwise.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I didn't like the originals, but this one felt nothing like what I remembered about those. The levels are lively and interesting, and it's fun to look for novel approaches to the objectives, and to do the challenges. It also ran great for me on the Steam Deck.

Atmospheric assassin simulator, that's all that i can say..

this is genuinely one of the greatest singleplayer experiences ive had and i love this game so much its a shame they had to make getting the base game so confusing
