TL;DR - A very pleasant game! Exploration with puzzles and an underlying mystery. I'm on my second cycle and have really gotten into this. In some ways it reminds me of the first Legend of Zelda game (minus the combat), in part due to the way you move from screen to screen, but mostly in the way you have to try different things, pay attention to the environment, make mental notes - or physical notes - of things to come back to and check, and unlock secrets to discover the path forward. Without giving too much away, I had a few moments where I felt frustrated when something that I tried didn't work because you only have a limited number of attempts per day. I was feeling the pressure to try to finish everything in 30 days, but once I let go of that and remembered that I could explore on multiple cycles, I started having a lot more fun. Also, where something does work after I take a chance, it feels very rewarding. The music is beautiful and the scenes are beautiful. I haven't ...

About This Game
In Overmorrow, the more Runes you discover, the more actions you can perform in a single day, and the deeper you may explore the mysterious island. There is no time limit, so be sure to fully enjoy the tranquil spaces in this fixed camera 2D game, where every screen contains unique art and curious secrets.
When your Runes have been exhausted, resting will replenish them, but also progress the day count and narrative. After 30 in-game days, your save is deleted. However, in Overmorrow, things are rarely as they seem on the surface, and that is just one more step to discovering the game's many mysteries.

TLDR: Overmorrow is an enchanting and atmospheric puzzle adventure game with more than meets the eye. It's challenging but gets much easier with time and patience. A must play for any puzzle adventure fan. Overmorrow is a unique puzzle adventure game with a lot of love and heart. Puzzles are solved in the world by standing in specific locations while using one of four magic types. By interacting with the environment you can create shortcuts, find secrets and exposition which will slowly unravel a compelling mystery. The artstyle is immediately striking, and overall very successful. Sometimes it can be a little confusing but there's not many games where you can take one look no matter what frame, and know exactly what game it's from. Another highlight is the soundtrack which is composed by Jim Guthrie and I feel will be a hidden gem. It's eerie, catchy and sets the mood and tone of the game exceptionally well. It comes together to create a perfect atmosphere. It's brilliant. Overmorr...
Great exploration game! The game presents itself as charming but has some excellent puzzles that will take some time and thought to solve.
Unfortunately in its current state the game is not recommendable. While the graphics, lore, and some of the puzzle mechanics are interesting, sections where you have to maneuver around things are incredibly badly made. Notably thinking of a specific maze where if you fall off a short bridge your day just is over. The controls and the character are so slippery that this is an exercise in frustration. This is just one of many things in the game that intensely frustrated me with the game, and made me give up before finishing.
I want to like this game, because of the art style and Zelda vibes, but navigation is impossibly confusing. The game doesn't clearly communicate which surfaces are at the same level (and thus the player can walk from one to another), or which parts of the screen have exits. This would be fine once in a while, in order to hide certain exits, but when in each screen the only way I can navigate is by trying randomly to move in all directions this is not alright. It gets even worse when I try to figure out what spell might work where, especially since the punishment for a wrong try is quite strong. What a disappointment. Could have been a great game.
Worth it! It's beautifully unique, strangely addictive and philosophically scary, so I love it. Overmorrow draws you in with its wonderfully unique art style, its super chill yet slightly eerie soundtrack, all the while sprinkling some existential dread in the background, while you piece together the puzzles both in the game.... and of the game... I would it recommend to indie aficionados and casuals alike. You become melanchollically attached to the narrative of the characters and the world, as they, much like you, struggle with existence. I also appreciate the different endings, the changes in the world with new each cycle. I feel like there are secrets still left unfound... And the speedrunner/optimizer urge to beat a cycle with the most amount of days remaining is strong... So far I have managed 16days left but I think with zero waste you could reach close to 20. (Also the limited action use per day until rested putting emphasis on the choice of energy expenditure, para...
Overmorrow is an exploration game with unique visuals and a heart of gold. Stranded on an island, you use four different kinds of magic to interact with your environment to solve puzzles and pull on narrative threads. Day by day, puzzle by puzzle, you begin to see the tapestry that's being woven in front of your eyes. Relish in your first 30 days. Pickle in your second 30 days. Savor your frustration and through it you will feel pure joy when the dopamine hits after finally solving a puzzle when it seemed no end was in sight. Overmorrow is a game you can sink your claws into, and in turn it will sink its claws back into you. The OST by Jim Guthrie is some of his best. Enchanting, mysterious, playful, relaxing. If puzzles aren't your Jam(Pants), then this soundtrack will be.
A nice relatively simplistic game with a dulcet atmosphere and unique, refreshing art style. I did experience mild bugs pretty often, and there are a few small sparks of janky tediousness, as sometimes come up in these sorts of small games, but I am generally happy with it. For the price I expected it to be a more dynamic or involved game, but my play time was really replaying the same game with little major difference. The second time through was pleasing, but after that it got tedious, trying to reach my goals while putting up with small jank and bugs. Just keep in mind this game is not that complex despite its aesthetic. I do recommend it, but you should know what kind of game experience you're getting yourself into before you delve in. Who knows, the game is still relatively recent for me so by the time you're reading this the briskely aggravating parts might have been resolved; maybe check the updates.
fantastic game, with amazingly well thought out puzzles, and a real sense of accomplishment when you work them out. cute graphics, amazing story. love this game
An interesting premise and art direction packaged into a good little indie game. Well worth the price.
