Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a side-scrolling action-RPG with town-building elements that serves as a prologue to the larger and more ambitious Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Developed by Natsume Atari and published by 505 Games, this companion title blends lightweight combat, character progression, and community restoration into a surprisingly charming package. While it doesn't reach the depth of the classic RPGs it nods to, Rising manages to carve out its own identity with a cozy tone, likable characters, and a well-paced gameplay loop that rewards patience and curiosity more than spectacle. The story follows CJ, a young and enthusiastic treasure hunter who arrives in the frontier town of New Nevaeh in search of artifacts known as rune lenses. From the outset, the game sets a lighthearted and earnest tone, with CJ’s energetic optimism contrasting with the more cautious townsfolk. As the town recovers from a recent earthquake, CJ becomes involved in rebuilding efforts, teaming ...

About the Game
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising combines a thrilling adventure through ancient ruins with the tale of one town’s rise from the ashes.
Drawn by lenses and other treasures in the nearby Runebarrows, our heroes learn that the town is struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and decide to help. Along the way, they’ll resolve disputes between eager adventurers and wary locals who don’t think the Barrows should be disturbed. And they’ll learn more about each other’s reasons for seeking treasure, deepening their bonds in the process.
As you will learn, these Runebarrows hide a great secret that has fateful implications for one of the characters. What begins as a simple treasure hunt turns into a dark conspiracy that will shake the world and plant seeds that carry over into the main story of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
The game will introduce a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle’s cast of characters in an original story with thrilling action and engaging town-upgrading elements.
There will be some perks for players that link the game with Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
*The name of one character from the Eiyuden Chronicle franchise has been changed from JB to CJ.

Pretty easy game. Even on "hard difficulty," especially if you utilize the inn and the potions you get for attack and critical buffs. If you grind for materials, maxing out the weapon and armor upgrades will make you do more damage and have more mobility (i.e. double-jump, perform more attack combos, etc.) You can finish this game in roughly less than 25 hours, lesser if you don't do all the side quests. Map is very straightforward; you won't get lost, but with all the back-and-forth doing the side quests and material collection, it gets boring pretty quickly cause of its repetitiveness.
its great !
This game is a prequel to Eiyuden Chronicle : Hundred Heroes. It is an action RPG from the same creator who made Suikoden, one of my all-time favorite series. The game is quite casual, you control three characters who help a struggling town by completing quests and advancing the story. There aren't many enemy types, but they have different elements. Boss fights are a bit tougher, but I only found the game truly challenging on hard mode. You can upgrade your equipment and weapons using materials dropped by enemies or collected while exploring. It's not a large game, but I enjoyed it.
STAMP! NOW!
You, too, can be a slashy kangaroo. In rapacious rage, a floaty mayor mage. Or an adverturing tramp, quick lil sickles and a love of stamps. a poem by Bo
Its fine. It had some interesting idea but the game lacks refinement and polish in whatever it offers. Grinding and progressing in this game is not that engaging either making it super boring to play at times. I'm playing it on and off due to how dull the gameplay is.
