Does not feel cozy to me at all. Too much stress to maintain a sense of well-being throughout the day.

About the Game
What if survival games were not stressful? What if the end of the world could be without all the doom and gloom?
I Am Future invites you to build a rooftop base of your dreams, explore a mysterious world, start a farm, hire a team of cute robot minions, and make new friends, all while enjoying the chillest post-apocalypse ever.
Starting from scratch on an abandoned rooftop, build, decorate and expand the coziest camp ever! Unlock new buildings and furniture, set up electrical grids, and neatly organize your new life.
You are the last survivor on Earth, fresh from the sweet, long cryogenic sleep. It’s finally time to chill out and stop worrying about job tasks and inflation! Relax, build, wander around – the world is literally yours!
Nature is healing! Set up a farm, grow fruit, vegetables, cheese trees, and take care of your crops!
Play as Robin or Chris, and customize the protagonist to reflect your unique idea of the last person on Earth!
Find ancient artifacts from a bygone era, such as kettles, TVs, or microwaves, take them apart using a satisfying dismantling mechanic, and gather resources for your next crafting project!
Automate chores around the camp with the help of cute robots! Build a team of AI assistants, issue commands, and manage their workload. And when they’re done – let them chill in a charging bath!
Send out scouting drones on expeditions across the sunken megapolis. Discover new locations, bring something valuable back to the base, and, step by step, uncover the mystery behind the end of the world.
Collect fresh produce from your farm, catch some fish, and unleash your inner chef with numerous delicious recipes ripe for mastering!
The fact you’re the last human on Earth does not mean you can’t still make new friends! Meet quirky robot inhabitants of this new world, like Earl the Fridge or Bombshell Barbara, and grow your bond with them.
Your camp needs love and protection. Keep pesky mutant pests from destroying the crops or the electrical grid!

I bought this in early access because I was excited about the premise and wanted to support an indie. However, in the final release, the core game loop is extremely grindy and repetitive with no real sense of fun or progression—and it unfortunately isn’t saved by the game’s story. The entire game essentially boils down to “collect resources to unlock the next tool to collect the next resource.” As such, there is no meaningful sense of progression (because it’s an open loop that drags on to the very ends), and the new tools don’t broaden the game in any meaningful way. I wanted to like I am Future, but it’s all tedium and very little fun. I don’t at all regret supporting this developer, but I can’t recommend purchasing the game. I hope that the devs learn from the shortfalls of this title and are able to produce something truly enjoyable in their next project.
Unfortunately no. The game seems nice, but there's no story. A lot of grind for nothing, At the end you get text and choice doesn't matter.
I really wanted to give the game a chance, but after 20 hours, I'm done with it. The first few hours were fine despite the softlock (I used a microchip where I shouldn't have and had to Google where to get another one). Unfortunately, there was more Googling in the later stages of the game. The graphics are nice, and at first glance, it was exactly what I was looking for. However, the longer I played, the more it became a grind and the gameplay became more boring. The story is drawn out and uninteresting, which didn't help to keep me in the game. Most of the time, it's not even clear what the main quest is and whats the goal. The game mechanics also become more annoying over time. Minions are useless—their pathfinding is terrible and they don't make the game any easier, inventory management is tedious, and you'll encounter annoying bugs here and there and you still need to micromanage everything. This game is not "cozy", it's just bunch of slow repating chores you have to do..
To me, this game tries too hard to be different from other games. The story is okay, the artstyle is wonderful but the game's mechanic makes the game incredibly slow. Not hard, tedious. It feels clunky/heavy when trying to build on a large scale and it deters you from expanding your 'lived in' area. Not exploring though, I do like discovering the story of the world but making the rooftop homely becomes a chore even by cozy game standards. Would I replay the game? Yes. It's a game best played at a slow pace, sparingly.
Tidy Oop? Tidy Oop! This game is very satisfying in some ways. If you like the idea of tidying up a rooftop junkyard and turning it into a garden/workshop/oasis, and if you are looking for a combat-free resource gathering game, you'll love this game. You start out on a roof that is just an absolute mess. Your character is very handy with tools - we learn more about this as the character finds out about life before their current amnesia - and loves a good project. You go around dismantling things, scavenging their resources, and tinkering with things. The story guides you pretty straight, but it doesn't rush you. You can take your time organizing your base how you want. There are always ways to get more of the basic resources you need. While it is cheerful and cozy, it isn't without challenge. You need to protect your garden from roaming leeches and invasive plants, for example, and you need to experiment a bit with food items to discover more filling recipes that keep you filled u...
This game is terrible! They do not explain anything to you. You are stuck on a roof and need to just figure everything out. I kept looking up what I needed to do at every stage of this game and just found the answers by reading other people complaining that nothing is explained to them. I got this game because it was supposed to be relaxing, but it is anything but that. DO NOT PLAY IT!
Early on it feels like a puzzle; "what should i upgrade next to be able to progress" and later on it becomes grindy but i like it in general. Crafting things one by one sucks but overall fun cozy game.
I know that I have a lot of hours in this game, because i did complete it, but I don't think I would recommend it to anyone. In most survival crafting games, maybe there's an alternating of grinding sections and then you can go accomplish something like exploring or fighting a boss. In this game, about 2 hours in, you just start a constant grind. I kept thinking "Ok, now I unlock this next tool and can explore" but then I would get to move for another ten minutes and then hit another massive wall. I think I only completed it because I got to a certain point and hit the sunk cost fallacy. Would not play again. Would not recommend.
Frustrating lack of support from the developers
