This is a very relaxing, cosy and cute game, however it's not worth playing more then once. It has very limited events and after 15 hours there is nothing new left to discover or do. I wish it had more content. In my case I had no problems with hunger, none of my fablings died and I had a happiness level of 98 with a population of 300. It's really about placing your buildings right, so that the road from their house to their workplace is not too long. If you have a problem with this, try making districts where there is at least one farm and 8 houses. I still enjoyed the game, it was very relaxing and cute

Workers get stuck inside the working stations, so they can't work or eat and starve to death. Can't destroy the work station even tho no one is working there, because they're stuck inside.
So I'm a sucker for any city builder. Thus when this game was featured in my steam shop for a good discount I had to try it. I give it a postive rating overall because it has some nice new, uncommen ideas and mechanics. I had a fun time doing one and a half playthroughs. Will I spend thousends of hours like I did in Banished? Hell no. Does it have enough content for more than one playthrough? Not in my opinion. Is it challending? No. It's one of the most forgiving city builders I've ever played. Does it have more potential? Probably. They should have explored the world of fairy tales much more. Is it cute? Yes Is it well made for what it is? Yes. But don't expect to sink in more than 30 hours.
The game is really well me but very poorly maintained. Regretfully it has so much potential but the developers are very lazy with the updates and fixing problems in the game not to mention enhancing the user experience. I would've kept the game and would have been very happy playing it but it's such time wasted to learn and then to keep playing
I've had this game for a year and just decided to give it another try after making decent progress before. But sadly, found that nothing really changed and immediately remembered why I gave up on it a year ago. It starts very nicely, graphics are very cute and mechanics seem reasonable at first. The first game will likely end up in a quick restart because you start with placing buildings without realizing the impact and importance of location. You really need to plan your residential area and "industrial zone". Homes can't be too bad to "dirty" industry because of the appeal penalty. But at the same time, they can't be too far because workers will take long time to walk. In the first year or two you will likely do fine and build large wood, stone, and vegetable reserves. But just as you think it's easy peasy relaxing game, the demand hits you. Suddenly, you need TONS of planks and stone "slab" to build new homes and new resource buildings as well. OK, you're not afraid of challenges...
I have a love-hate relationship with this game. There are some things here that I REALLY like, and some that I absolutely hate. Ultimately if I had to do it over again, I would save my money and skip this game. But I know a lot of YOU out there will like it more than I do, so I'll break it down for you and give you the pros and cons. First let me describe the basic game progression. You will name your king, decide if you are a man or woman, and choose your kingdom's location from a randomly seeded map. The map will have about half a dozen other nations on it, too, but you won't be able to interact with them right away... it takes a little while to unlock the ability to send messengers back and forth. Then you are dropped into your kingdom, which has a couple of worker residents (lowly peasants) and a handful of resources (wood, stone, and food) to start with. But you have no buildings or roads yet. The game leaves it up to you which things you want to build, and how you wan...
Unplayable till they fix the starvation bug. That hits 3/4 way through the game and makes it unplayable a s your Fabledons just starve to death no mater what
I would defiantly recommend playing this game in creative. It's pretty cozy planning and building your kingdom with no restrictions and not having to worry about you Fablings starving. In one of my saves, my commoners won't eat and will starve themselves. Also, some more decorations would be nice. the fairies are a cute addition, but I would like some more natural decorations. Like, an unplanted variant of the Greenpatch tree and the Greenvine tree. A path that matches items like the flower cup and evergreen bushes would be nice too.
Fabledom - 100% Completion Review Score: 7/10 Fabledom is a Casual City Builder set in a Fantasy Land Story Book, after fully Completing this game i'll give some Pro, Neutrals and Cons Pro's: +Has character and kingdom customization +Can choose where on the world map your kingdom will be built and even turn off hills, water on that map +Has romance and marriage +City building is simple and easy to understand +Each romance option has their own special buildings for you to construct +Buildings are quite charming and have a nice fantasy type of look +Has events and dungeons around the map that your hero can interact with +Good music +Has both a story mode and creative mode +Probably the most relaxing city builder you'll find +Good performance, no lag, bugs or crashes Neutrals/Bias: "No Score Change From These" =Story is pretty bare bones, here's some land, build a kingdom, get married, the end, lol at least it's straight forward =Character design is fine =Unless you build a cave that ...
First 30 hours was a total bliss, but after the second game session you will feel like you've already found everything the game have to offer, Same neighbors, same world events, same interactions. I suggest adding more lords, bigger map with further building effect range, defense against neighbors army with 1 year warning, more heroes, more buildings, bridges construction over lakes, housing on the shore line and upgradable housing in the late game, Pixies may fly across the water Underground construction and dwarf, tall trees and elf. As for the reason for neighbor invasion, we could divorce our spouses while keeping buffs and special buildings, making them heartbroken and angry. I would love to buy all these as DLCs
