The Development Process

My name is Andy and I am the developer of Space One - Electron!

I have massive plans for this game!
However, I want to be completely transparent with you all!
This game is an indie title and is built by just me! I work on it about 30-40 hours per week, and have a full time career and a family as well.

To give you a idea of how much work goes into a game:
Call of Duty is made by a team of 60+ people @ 12 hours per day. Each iteration (Version) takes about 3 years to make. That's 690,000+ hours of development!
Space One - Electron has a little over 1,200 development hours so far! It is a long way from finished!!!

What I can promise:
- There will be bugs!
- Some updates will get delayed, even cancelled!
- The planned content may change!
- It will take 3-5 years to be fully ready.
- Work and Family will always come first!
- You may lose save games!
- The final product of this game will be ABSOLUTELY EPIC!

Buying the game is a way to support the growth and development of the game, and be a part of that process.
This is what early access is all about!
However, if you are not ready to handle bugs then I do not recommend you buy the game at this time!
I do, however, encourage you to join our community on discord and follow our progress!

About the Game

Currently, not all features listed below are available. We are a small studio and are developing Space One - Electron as fast as we can.

We start in deep space, in a small ship called the 'Electron'.
• Explore the universe, its stars, worlds and moons.
• Mine asteroids, gas clouds, ice fields, and comets to gather resources.
• Construct space stations and space colonies and grow your galactic empire!
• Craft ship parts, character armor, buildings and so much more!
• Manage colony resources through manual labour or through commanding drones, robots and workers to harvest for you!
• Buy, sell and trade resources at various colonies you create in an attempt to establish a home for humanity amongst the stars.
• Construct space farms, to feed your people, fuel your research and expand your empire!
• Research hundreds of techs used to advance yourself and your colonies!
• Improve your ship, buy new ships and improve your skills to aid you in every part of the game!
• Explore planets, and construct planetary colonies in a glorious attempt to gain galactic supremacy!

The June 2022 Update will contain a lot of new features and improvements.
Here is a quick look at ship interiors:

This game is just not good. I bought it cause it was so cheap, and I've been really holding out a review because the price is literally only 99 cents. But I've played FREE games that were so much better. I could look past all that, but the developer is not active, doesn't respond and doesn't seem to have updated their game in over a month (maybe they are working on an update which is fine or taking a break or just stopped, all fine)...but just such a lack of a response at all. The game is also confusing as heck, you get in and have no idea what to do. I've played a lot of sandbox games and space 4x/grand strategy/rpgish games, but this one doesn't make any sense. You gotta mine asteroids, but the game plays sorta like a mobile game at same time and when mining you get attacked by random ships that blow you up in less than 5 seconds and you can't defend against it or kill them...or maybe you can but no idea how. Just so confusing. For 99 cents why not keep that change and give it to a...

"Made with unity" sorry for your loss, dev. Seems deceptively deep for the programmer graphics. absolutely worth the buck or two if you like the concept.

UPDATE: ON FEBRUARY 18TH, 2023, the developer announced a complete rebuild of the game. I'm changing my review to positive, until the point where this update disappoints me. Plus, let's be fair, for £0.89, the fact that this game is more functional than some triple-A games, that are released in a buggy, unfinished game, as the full product, and fixed after the fact already means it's probably of higher quality than some games with tens of millions of dollars of funding. Since this is the new norm, the fact that this developer correctly labelled their game Early Access is already good enough to follow the game, and check it out after this update has been released, or even just to check it out in a few months. I hugely appreciate that the developer hasn't just abandoned the game, at that they're still keeping the community updated on the progress. I've purchased a few games that have fallen into that state, or the developers will constantly reassure the community, and future buyers, de...
