This game is nothing compared to the first one.

Gameplay:
sadly its not a good sequel of the first Railway Empire. the only advantage is; - the stations that can be placed wherever you want. - Eight tracks in stations - Unlimited numbers tracks side by side. Everything else about the game is pitiful; this game must be moddable. The developers create a game that is extremely limited in terms of management, resources, and design, and bugs put an end to any hopes of having fun and completing a map.
Graphic design:
No improvement over the first one, the graphics are barely more polished and the maps are just as small with just as few resources.
Price:
Way too expensive for such poor DLC.
I don't understand why they made a second game. This game should be DLC for the first one, as it adds almost nothing except a few gameplay mechanics.

If you like Strategy, Managments, Tactics games come and discover what's available on stea...

About the Game
All aboard the express train to riches and fame in Railway Empire 2! Don the coat of a clever entrepreneur, take over a small railway company in the early 1800s and turn your steam engines into the workhorses of the economy. Grow your company into the largest railway company of the continent and outsmart your competitors as you connect cities and companies with an ever-expanding network of rail lines, bridges, and tunnels. 60 famous locomotives are at your disposal, all pulling freight and passenger cars as they usher in an era of historic importance during the Industrial Revolution.Railway Empire 2 features bigger, more detailed and lively maps than ever before. The whole of the US and continental Europe are covered in two huge, sprawling maps, whilst more detailed maps put the focus on specific regions of each continent. Improved track construction helps you focus on the important decisions as you drive the economy and help the growth of the cities. Signals are placed automatically, bridges can hold up to 4 tracks and the expandable train stations can now have up to 8 tracks.
Choose from 6 different characters to lead your railway company, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Play the 5-chapter campaign or choose any of the 14 different scenarios. Set your own difficulty in the fully customisable Free Play mode or build the perfect rail network in construction mode. Tackle the competition of your railway empire together with friends in Co-op Multiplayer. You can also board one of your trains and gaze upon the scenery passing by as the iron horse speeds along the tracks while you sit back and enjoy the view.

I love a city builder or a transport tycoon type game but this is just boring and completely unengaging. There's no creative element to it, it's just, put your generic station in a city that looks no different from any other and connect it to the next city. There's just no joy in it at all. Even the tech tree is just a timeline that you wait for certain and length of time and then click you have a slightly new train, wow, now a slightly new train can go from that indistinguishable city to this other indistinguishable city. The world seems devoid of anything other than a few randomly dotted resources. I wouldn't recommend this game at all, I'm gutted I wasted my money on it honestly.
The franchise continues to slip away. The infinite DLC squeeze from Devs is sad. The core game has a few elements that are entertaining but the over all LOOP and replay ability is straight up snooze fest. With the way this franchise is going it wont be long until this is an auto playing phone app (and that would be better than the current state of things). I do dream of a day when Humans go back to caring about other Humans instead of treating each other as a potential 'pay day' or 'get out the way'
poor performance, all the fun aspects of building train lines are stripped out
Coming from Railway Empire 1, this game is awesome. Did not get any stutters or crashes.
Tried to enjoy it but it devolved into a frustrating UI and endless tedium. Simple placement of stations and routes is infuriating. If you're looking for a continuation of Railroad Tycoon this ain't it.
runs so bad it ajoke, , zero trip on how it builds u need to work it out yourself zero hel[ dont buy
Fun take on Railroading Tycoon builder. Takes a while to figure out how the system works but definitely worth buying.
Create and Fun
I really enjoy the game. It's pacing is fun and the upgrades keep it fresh offering new challenges with each release.
