Honestly, I've tried to get into it 3 different times now and the gameplay is just dogshit. Stealth doesn't work AT ALL in this game, and the AI seems to have radar on where I am, in the middle of the night, without any noise or flashlights on. And if the AI spot you you're INSTANTLY riddled with an unlimited supply of bullets. And if you happen to kill that group, don't worry, a random squad of roving bandits will just spawn RIGHT NEXT TO you while you're looting bodies and kill you. Oh and AI have aimbot...somehow they can dump an entire magazine into my from a broken SMG from 100m away and yet I have to hold my breath with a scoped rifle to have a SMALL chance of landing a single shot. The original games felt way more balanced in terms of gunplay. I honestly can't tell if it's bugged or what since it's so horribly programmed. The emission storms are ****ing stupid - stalker is a game that takes patience and you need to be methodical on what you are doing to survive. But those ...

User Reviews
After spending several hundred hours in this game, watching it develop and improve over time since release, I finally feel ready to give it a verdict. Stalker 2 is a deeply flawed masterpiece that will both piss you off with its bull **** and suck you into its unmatched atmosphere, which consists of hypnotic ambience and mesmerising environments. There is an experience here that you will not find anywhere else, in any game, not even in any of the community made additions to the franchise (Anomaly, Gamma etc) (and I would know, cause I've played them all extensively). It's a very strange experience where I can complain about things in this game for hours even though I truly deeply love it. It's one of the best games I've ever played. I love the story, the cosmic mystery of the zone, the madness, the fanaticism and the perverse scientism. And I love Skif. And I love that you're the only one who gets to decide Skif's path. It's your journey through the zone. It's all about how you person...
Phenomenal game, albeit demanding on the PC. I honestly feel like I've been playing forever and I'm still not even done with the story.
Until a substantial amount of work is put into performance, don't bother. Beyond that, simple game-play, wack enemy AI, and an absolutely horrible implementation of lumen, makes this game a slog to even move in.
Not as good as the original trilogy, but the bar is still higher than most modern FPS out there. Plus the devs actually listen to the player base and constantly release new patches to make the game better.
A year later and it still runs like total ass unless you're using magic frame generation that bugs out a ton of visuals and DLSS that makes everything look like it's been sculpted out of putty, what an absolute disgrace. Go play stalker gamma, it's better, by a large margin, and you don't have to pay money to be disappointed.
Stutter fest, pop in fest, buggy , poor performance you name it. Forget running the game without DLSS/ Frame gen. So many patches yet cannot optimize. Unreal engine slop. Might as well label as early access as the patches add so many gameplay systems that was missing originally.
Maybe I am not the target audience for this game, but 70% is my gameplay was running long distances not encountering anything. When encountering something, it was either very easy or very hard. Not to mention that the economy and repair costs are by default set so that you bleed through your butt for repairs while not finding anything worthy and getting your stuff damaged by every enemy - and if you do take guns, you are too heavy to run, so the only way for me to at least somehow enjoy the game was to get mods which reduce the repair cost and remove carry limit.
Oh, let me tell you about this game, and trust me, it's a ride worth taking! The pros? Well, the details, the sounds, and the overall atmosphere are nothing short of spectacular. The world is so beautiful and immersive that you might find yourself completely losing your sense of reality, almost believing you’re a lost scavenger navigating the ghostly exclusion zone of Prypiat! Seriously, the game is trying to keep your heart racing all the time. Let’s talk about the graphics. Absolutely top-notch! You might find yourself stopping to admire how pretty the post-apocalyptic world looks, which is a strange thing to say while trying not to trip over a mutant rat. Now, onto the cons, because what’s a good review without a little constructive criticism? The NPC combat and movement can occasionally broke the immersion. You know, the kind of gun fight that make you question whether you're in a serious fight or inside a Leslie Nelson movie? Also, the survival mechanic, specifically the ea...
Cant even play it without 6-10 FPS, even with mods to improve the fps I only get 10-17FPS.(Spent over a grand to play this game finally but still crash time to time) plus bloodsucker health is way to high..
